  3. On an evening that saw PokerStars have to cancel many of their tournaments halfway through, there was better luck for poker ambassadors Chris Moorman and Patrick Leonard as the Brits took down events on their respective partner sites, 888poker and partypoker. Due to a Distributed Denial of Service across the PokerStars network, a high number of tournaments including the Sunday Million, Sunday Warm-Up, High Roller and Bounty Builder High Roller events were canceled during play with refunds and prizemoney distributed based on the client's tournament cancellation procedure. All-time PocketFives.com money-leader and 888poker ambassador Chris Moorman, who recently became the first player to cross the $15 million online earnings mark, won the flagship $1,050 $80,000 gtd The Whale for $26,000 after a heads-up battle with Rodrigo 'sonmonedass' Perez. Moorman got the better of his opponent Perez who took away $16,800, with 'Madeon1994' banking $12,000 in third. partypoker ambassador Patrick Leonard also had a good result on the client he represents after taking down the $2,500 Super Sunday High Roller following a heads-up chop with his fellow BITB owner Samuel 'JHelppi' Vousden. On a final table that featured 'probirs' and current PocketFives no. #2 world ranked 'HellmuthTheGr8'. 'z-boooo' was able to take third-place for $36,071 before the BITB battle occurred. After agreeing to a deal, Leonard got the better of Vousden, who took away $36,071.15, with the remaining share of $48,078.86 going to the victor. 'Chelsea72' won nearly $39,000 across partypoker after achieving gold and silver medals. The win came in the $215 Sunday Warm-Up for $18,850 after they defeated 'zatochka1980' heads-up, who banked $13,420 as runner-up, with 'Geleeee' taking $9,200 and the bronze medal. 'Chelsea72' added another $20,000 to their bankroll not long after having took second-place in the 163 player field $1,050 Bounty High Roller before 'JimyTransaction' secured victory for $16,46396 + $23,676.25 (in bounties earned). Matveichuk 'EyeofSkadi' Roman chopped the 888poker $215 Sunday Mega Deep for $18,084, before bowing out in second-place. 'xxXAQAxx' took the bronze medal for $11,696, before the heads-up money deal was agreed. 'HomoDeus' was the eventual winner from the 544 entrants, and walked away with their share of the prizepool worth $18,363. partypoker $215 Sunday Warm-Up $100k Gtd 477 entrants, $100,000 prize pool Chelsea72 - $18,850 zatochka1980 - $13,420 Geleeee - $9,200 RedPant - $6,400 BuyThaPot - $4,540 ohthedevil1 - $3,300 Machacante66 - $2,350 do or die - $1,700 partypoker $530 Sunday Bounty Hunter – HR $100k 205 entrants, $105,062.50 prize pool prebzzz - $10,449.92 + $14,429.41 (in bounties earned) Algorhytm - $7,585 + $3,543.78 (in bounties earned) BuyThaPot - $5,406.87 + $1,033.59 (in bounties earned) frokennatur - $3,997.50 + $3,117.18 (in bounties earned) rfreshalmata - $2,818.75 + $984.36 (in bounties earned) Rogue_Str8 - $2,152.50 + $2,321.49 (in bounties earned) P0L4R1C3 - $1,588.75 + $1,230.00 (in bounties earned) Dork Pork - $1,178.75 + $1,952.33 (in bounties earned) partypoker $2,500 Super Sunday High Roller $150k Gtd 66 entrants, $165,000 prize pool patrick_leonard - $48,078.86 JHelppi - $36,071.15 Z-booo - $23,100 HellmuthTheGr8 - $14,850 Turkishhhh - $11,550 pericas1991 - $9,075 probirs - $7,837.50 Specter_Litt - $7,425 PartyRainer - $7,012.50 partypoker $1,050 High Roller $100k Gtd 99 entrants, $100,000 prize pool smilethenclick - $24,500 juergenresch - $17,500 geileaap - $12,500 M1ndBl0w - $8,750 JonasLuck_ - $6,500 TriggerWord - $5,000 sk2ll_m0dr - $4,000 nelisschuif - $3,250 partypoker $1,050 Bounty High Roller $150k Gtd 163 entrants, $166,260 prize pool JimyTransaction - $16,46396 + $23,676.25 (in bounties earned) Chelsea72 - $12,114.97 + $7,832.50 (in bounties earned) guydeet39 - $8,914.87 + $910 (in bounties earned) whresmymind - $6,560.01 + $260 (in bounties earned) GewoonBoef - $4,827.24 +$1,365 (in bounties earned) SchelampigaUhu - $3,552.09 + $5,573.75 (in bounties earned) Graftekkel - $2,613.70 + $2,210 (in bounties earned) SantaClaiMEr - $1,923.40 + $260 (in bounties earned) porche911sp - $1,923.40 $650 (in bounties earned) 888poker $1,050 The $80,000 Whale 79 entrants – $80,000 prize pool 888Moorman - $26,000 sonmonedass - $16,800 Madeon1994 - $12,000 tutten7 - $8,000 toolatetorun - $6,000 WhosToClaim - $4,400 MisterN411 - $3,600 Pipedream17 - $3,200 888poker $215 Sunday Mega Deep 544 entrants – $108,800 prize pool HomoDeus - $18,363.21* EyeofSkadi - $18,084.79* xxXAQAxx - $11,696 dkfdyulr - $8,432 leqenden - $5,712 Madeon1994 - $4,080 Hurrrrican3 - $2,992 xAmbiorix - $2,448 *denotes heads-up deal
  4. The online poker alias of 'Lena900' is a name that regular PocketFives readers will be familiar with, mainly because the Swedish player can be seen to be battling it out in the highest stakes online poker tournaments have to offer week-after-week. For the past two years, 'Lena900' has just been pipped to the top of PocketFives.com Yearly PLB by his compatriot 'C.Darwin2', but 2018 was the year this all changed as 'Lena900' took the glory in five major festival events to sit at the summit of online poker. 'Lena900' finished 2018 with a total PLB score of 29,952.68, and had a clear gap over runner-up 'C.Darwin2' with 26,992.73. 'Lena900' recorded seven of his top ten online cashes over the past 12 months which included three victories. On May 16th, he reached the final table of the partypoker Powerfest $10,300 #53-SHR: $2M Gtd [Championship Event - PKO] event which came with a staggering $430,047 first-place prize. The Swede battled his way to a heads-up match against partypoker ambassador Kristen 'Krissyb24' Bicknell, and ultimately was the last player standing to pick up his biggest online score to date. But his day wasn't done with the Swede picking up a second PokerStars SCOOP title of the year as well in the #39-High: $1,050 NLO8 [6-Max] event. Fast forward to September and 'Lena900' added a second partypoker Powerfest title to his name as well as a PokerStars WCOOP victory. The Swede came through a 194 player-field to win the Powerfest $5,200 #062-SHR: $1M Gtd [Championship Event] for $203,900, as well as picking up the gold medal in the WCOOP-27-M: $530 PLO [6-Max] for $58,228. And just over a week later, there was to be another Powerfest Championship Event final table for 'Lena900', after he achieved a third-place finish in the event #095-SHR for $157,560. Back in 2014, 'Lena900' helped kick-start his online career with a fourth-place finish in the prestigious PokerStars Sunday Million and turned $215 into $81,366. Well in 2018, he was able to go one place better and ended November with a bronze medal worth $80,555. A sensational second half of 2018, helped propel 'Lena900' up to second place on the Online Poker All-Time Earnings Leaderboard with over $13.6m and closed the gap on Chris Moorman who leads the way with $15.6m. As for 'Lena900's closest rivals, 'C.Darwin2' outlasted a field of 122 players to win the PokerStars High Rollers 07: $10,300 NLHE [8-Max], $1M Gtd event for $267,406, and also took down the PokerStars Turbo Series 70: $5,200 NLHE [8-Max, High Roller] for $161,411. A silver medal came in the 888 Poker XL Eclipse #32 - $1,000,000 Gtd Main Event for $135,000, after 'C.Darwin2' was pipped to the title by 2018 PLB fourth-place finisher Roman 'Romeopro' Romanovsky who banked $187,500 for victory. PLB third-place finisher 'hellohellohello' from Russia beat his best online score three-times throughout 2018, which included victory in the PokerStars Sunday Million for $160,888 during August. Also securing their place in the top ten was Hungary's Andras 'probirs' Nemeth, Latvia's 'DamageAP', Argentina's Ramiro 'ramastar88' Petrone, 'Girafganger7', Sweden's 'Ariados', and the U.K.'s Patrick 'pleno1' Leonard. Nemeth took down the PokerStars SCOOP-14-H: $25,000 NLHE [8-Max, High Roller] for an eye-watering $576,087, with Romanovsky taking the silver medal for a cool $442,299. 'DamageAP's top score came in the Powerfest #002-HR: $500K Gtd [PKO] event after defeating a 358 player-field to bank $94,546. Petrone started the year fantastically when he took down the Powerfest #48-H: $1M Gtd Main Event for in February $195,720 and followed it up with a second Powerfest title in September, as well as a SCOOP and WCOOP title. Fellow high-stakes crusher 'GirafGanger7' saw 2018 reward him with another WCOOP title after he won the WCOOP-55-M: $530 NLHE [8-Max, Turbo, Progressive KO] for $55,846. 'Ariados' had a day to remember on February 4th after a third-place finish in the PokerStars $215 Sunday Million 12th Anniversary $10M Gtd event saw them turn $215 into a career-best $539,554. The Swede followed up this result with several five and six-figure scores including a Powerfest title. And completing the top ten was former world ranked #1 Leonard, who had an imposing end to the year with multiple scores in the PokerStars Winter and High Roller series, having earlier won three Powerfest titles including the #46-High: $1M Gtd NLH event for $207,978. 6. As the poker world watched the 2019 World Series of Poker final table get underway, the online poker scene was in the news as well; all be it for different reasons. partypoker saw their online schedule thrown into disarray after a software crash across the entire network that affected not only poker but also their sports and casino offerings. Despite the expected player grievances, Dusk Till Dawn owner & partypoker partner Rob Yong responded via Twitter and his forthrightness approach on the situation was met with all-around positivity. Yong stated the issues surrounding the software and said he would be happy to look into any complaints submitted. https://twitter.com/rob_yong_/status/1150524660922093568 Despite this, the online poker action did occur across multiple other clients, including PokerStars, 888poker, and GGPoker. Russia and Brazil dominated the PokerStars $109 Sunday Million, after players from these two nations occupied the top five places. The guarantee was once again defeated as 10,983 entrants created a $1,098,200 prize pool. Brazil's 'DigoLuiz', 'Galochina10' and 'JúlioFantin' took fifth, fourth and third place respectively, with 'JúlioFantin' awarded the biggest prize of the three for $59,353. The Russian duo of 'Jigan7' and 'kolobcheena' then agreed to a money-deal before the final battle commenced. 'Jigan7' was the unlucky last player to hit the rail and banked $85,742 for their share of the deal, as 'kolobcheena' was crowned this champion alongside $108,759. 'NoHayMiedo*' defeated Philipp 'philbort' Gruissem heads-up to win the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller. A field of just 47 entrants created a $94,000 prize pool with the top five places paid. 'SsicK_OnE' took fifth for $6,785, 'WushuTM' fourth for $10,360 and 'WhaTisL0v3' picked up the bronze for $15,819. An extra $12,000 was on the line in the final showdown, and it was German pro Gruissem who was unable to convert his deep run into victory and settled for $24,154 as runner-up, with 'NoHayMiedo*' banking $36,881 for the win. 'ezepoker90' added another $70,000 to their steller online CV after victory in the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder High Roller. The former WCOOP champion came through a 782 player-field and a heads-up match against 'solanj' for the win. The $10k Sunday Blade once again returned to the GGPoker Sunday schedule after an absence and 'Chun Lei Zhou' picked up the win from a 23 player-field for $116,569. It was also a good day for 'emb3zzle' who secured gold and bronze medals in the Blades. A third-place finish in the $10k for $36,014, was followed by victory in the $5k Sunday Blade for $59,789, after a heads-up win over 'SasukeUchiha', who banked $36,746.
