  1. With the World Series of Poker kicking off in Las Vegas just a few days ago, players from all over the world made their way from the virtual tables to the live felt, but despite this, there was still plenty of action on a busy Sunday for online poker. For the first time since its reduced $109 buy-in began, the PokerStars Sunday Million fell short of its $1,000,000 guarantee. The 8,984 entries were the lowest the revamped tournament has achieved, but the event still came with a $108,784 top prize. The final table was dominated by a Brazilian presence with five of the last nine hailing from the South American nation, including 'KKing James', who hit the rail in fourth place for $41,575, and 'igoretH10' who collected the bronze medal for $57,290. When all was said and done, Brazil was rewarded with a champion after 'pimenta7' defeated Russia's 'evgeny0777' heads-up to net the top six-figure prize. 'WATnlos' topped a PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller final table full of online regulars to bank $47,008. The former Sunday Million winner saw world ranked #1 'Lena900' hit the rail in fourth place for $21,296, before Finland's Tomi 'elmerixx' Brouk exited in third for $27,728. Malta's 'MoTTaGeNiaL' was then the unfortunate player to be denied at the last and exited as runner-up for $36,103, which left 'WATnlos' as the victor. 'serggorelyi7' won the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for the second time and banked a cool $73,708. Sweden's 'eijseijs' was eliminated in third place for $19,933 + $1,953 in bounties before Argentina's 'rojorulez' saw their bounty lost at the last for a prize worth $27,194 + $5,359, and the victorious 'serggorelyi7' picked up their second title in this event just seven months after their first. 'deivid29' came through a 786 player-field to win the PokerStars $215 Sunday Warm-Up for $26,708. The tournament crept over the $150,000 guaranteed prize pool and when just three remained, 'dadowiec' saw their chances ended for $14,065. The final battle ultimately saw Brazil's former Sunday Million final tablist 'chicalltreta' miss out and collected $19,382 as runner-up. 'SpiritDNA' won the partypoker $2,100 Sunday High Roller Gladiator for over $46,000. partypoker Team Online pro Jeff Gross made a final table appearance but was first to go in ninth place when the action resumed, and the American was quickly followed to the virtual rail by world #1 'Drulitoo' in eighth. When the field had been cut from 90 players to the final three, 'ojanOmaha' collected the bronze medal for $12,717 + $2,362 in bounties, before 'x_zola25' was the last to lose their bounty and exited with the silver medal alongside $18,088 + $7,612. But 'ojanOmaha' and 'x_zola25' were not done for the day and soon after found themselves in another three-way title battle in the partypoker $1,050 Sunday High Roller Terminator, with the outcome also not so different. This time it was 'x_zola25' who exited with the bronze medal and added another $8,534 + $4,030 in bounties to their bankroll, before 'ojanOmaha' tasted defeat at the last for $11,942 + $10,855, as 'megustaestrecha' claimed their scalp and the gold medal for $11,955 + $19,656. There was also a Sunday to remember for 'chan593' after they turned $10,000 worth of GGPoker Sunday Blade buy-ins into over $82,000. 'chan593' claimed fourth place in the $100,000 guaranteed event which saw 'Joeri_van_heetan' awarded the $64,059 top-prize, but soon after it was 'chan593' celebrating victory after they navigated through a 34 player-field in the $50k guaranteed event. The tournament ultimately collected a $161,500 prize pool, and 'chan593' took the win for a $68,893 payday, after a heads-up battle against 'PyramidOfSkulls.' 2. PocketFives.com world-ranked #1 Andras Nemeth had a Sunday to remember after the Hungarian cashed for over $450,000, following four final table appearances, and two gold medals. The current top two online players in the world faced off heads-up in the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller, and the match went as the rankings would have suggested. A $196,000 prize pool was created after 98 high rollers took their virtual seat and among the final nine were PokerStars Pro Igor Kurganov, 'C.Darwin2', 'hello_totti', 'omaha4rollz' and current world-ranked #3 Patrick Leonard. 'bigbluffzinc' departed in third place for $27,688, which allowed 'Lena900' and Andras 'probirs' Nemeth to agree on a money-deal. Current world #1 Nemeth then got the better of 2018 PocketFives.com POY 'Lena900' and took away a top prize worth $45,240. [ptable zone="Global Poker Article Ad"][ptable zone="888poker"][ptable zone="PokerStars NJ"] 'vladulaNko' was this week's PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder High Roller PKO champion, and banked $52,575 + $21,098 in bounties. Michael 'imluckbox' Addamo took fifth place from the 1,357 player-field for $15,176 + $10,967, as fellow high-roller Ole 'wizowizo' Schemion banked $28,247 + $20,537 in third place. Patrick 'prepstyle71' Serda was the unlucky final player to lose their bounty and settled for $38,536 + $11,331 as runner-up. 'FoldYourEdge' and 'letsgoagain' became partypoker Sunday Phased Final champions after the introduction of the new weekly tournaments. The 'Phased' events gave players the chance to play the online Day 1 throughout the week, and compete in the Sunday Final for a chance at big money returns. 'FoldYourEdge' took down the $530 Sunday Phased Final for the biggest share of the $273,350 prize pool worth $50,952. 'Gravity' took third for $24,863, before 'kBetExpl0F0ftyK' lost at the last to bank $36,218 as runner-up. And in the $109 Sunday Phased Final, 'letsgoagain' topped the 1,013 player-field to win $18,189 after a heads-up victory over 'SuperMaza', who took away $13,028 for their efforts. The GGPoker GGS3 continued allowing their player pool to play some of the largest weekly online tournaments with buy-ins reaching $25,000 once again. 'Omar Bingo' was the biggest Sunday winner after they banked $344,893 for victory in the GGPoker GGS #157: $25,000 $500k Gtd. The prize pool hit $808,500 after 33 super high rollers went to battle, with 'StacknNvrSlackn' and Andras 'PokerBluff1' Nemeth cashing before 'Picasso16' sealed third place for $128,268. 'NOMAMES' was then unable to add yet another GGpoker title to their name, and departed as runner-up for $203,780. The second $25,000 buy-in of the day saw Nemeth cash for a second time, and they forged on to seal the gold medal for $226,237, following a money-deal with 'StacknNvrSlackn', who exited with $205,206. However, Nemeth narrowly missed out on a third Sunday title after taking second place in the GGPoker GGS #170: $10,000 $400k Gtd for $104,848, with 'chan593' picking up the win for $170,515.
