  1. Before this past week passed, there were just 15 players who had made more than $8 million in PocketFives tracked scores over the course of the career. Lead of course by recent WSOP bracelet winner Chris Moorman with a little bit more than $14,000,000 in earnings. This week another player did just enough to join this exclusive club. Nicholas ’rounder63’ Carrillo passed the $8 million thanks to a number of smaller scores over the past week. While some of the others in the $8 million club have gotten there with numerous big scores, Carrillo has made it happen through sheer volume. His 13,563 career cashes are the most out of anybody in the top 100 on the all-time earnings list. The American grinder now calls Costa Rica home. Three other players hit milestones on the earnings front this week. Russian ‘Flat’ hit $3,000,000, Brazilian Felipe 'felipesalgado30’ Salgado passed $2,000,000 while England’s ‘Ckb’ is now one of 1,661 players who have won at least $1,000,000 over the course of their career. Huge Sunday Score Moves ‘kZhh’ into Top 100 Hungary’s ‘kZhh’ had a Sunday to remember last week, beating out 5,878 other players to win the PokerStars Sunday Million for $176,212.94. That huge score also came with a boat load of PLB points - 1084.34 to be exact. That allowed him to move into the top 100 of the PocketFives Rankings for the first time in his career, moving from #140 to #58. Six other top-100 players hit all-time rankings this past week bauruzito - #16 to #15 Banicivan - #20 to #18 winwin07 - #25 to #24 Flat #- 55 to #47 funwheel - #52 to #50 Perfect1232 - #73 to #70
  2. The busy two-week stretch that included PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker, partypoker Powerfestand 888poker XL Inferno allowed some of the best online poker players to hit some major career milestones including one player becoming just the fourth ever to crack the $10 million mark. It wasn't anything dramatic, but former #1-ranked Sebastian 'p0cket00' Sikorski had a min-cash on PokerStars on May 14 to push his career earnings into eight-figures territory. Sikorski joins Nicolas 'PokerKaiser' Fierro, Bryan 'bparis' Paris and Chris 'moorman1' Moorman as the only players to have earned that much. Sikorski wasn't the only player to hit a big number though. Jeff 'YoungSupremacy' Hakim and 'inhoo' both moved past $8 million in earnings. Hakim finished ninth in SCOOP Event #31 High ($2,100 NLHE) to hit the magic number. Sweden's 'inhoo' added over $200,000 to his lifetime earnings over the past two weeks, with five five-figure scores including Powerfest and XL Inferno final tables and a third place finish in the PokerStars Sunday Grand. Despite losing his #1 ranking, 'lena900' surpassed $7 million in lifetime earnings. There are now six Swedish players with at least that much in earnings. Hungary's top-ranked player, Andras 'probirs' Nemeth, passed $6 million while Connor 'blanconegro' Drinan and Olli ' OgSulttaani' Ikonen both hit the $5 million mark. New Jersey saw another player hit an impressive milestone. Yong ' ykwon17' Kwon became the latest Garden State grinder to hit $1 million in earnings on the regulated sites in his home state. Triple Crown Club Gets a New Member Brazil's Durair 'Duraircwb' Do Rosario Netto won his first career Triple Crown, taking down the PokerStars Hot $33, 888poker XL Inferno Event #154 and the partypoker Middleweight: Counterpunch for a little over $12,000 in earnings. 'girafganger7' Ascends the Throne as Rankings Go Haywire The top 100 of the PocketFives Rankings look very different now after the Spring series' all wrapped up. The most high profile change came at the very top as Belgium's 'girafganger7' rode some late SCOOP success to the #1 ranking. There were a total of 14 players in the top 100 who hit career-high marks. girafganger7 from #5 to #1 Ti0 from #28 to #21 nilsef from #41 to #36 omaha4rollz from #59 to #50 Flat from #57 to #56 Apotheosis from #80 to #58 funwheel from #123 to #61 pabritz from #91 to #63 Kovalski from #82 to #67 que_te_crio from #90 to #69 kot_spartac from #118 to #70 CheVeaU from #99 to #75 davaman from #76 to #75 pabritz from #95 to #91
  3. Every week The PocketFives Milestone Report looks at the online poker players who are achieving career-best achievement or reaching new heights in the rankings Lithuania’s ‘selinantis’ Moves Past $3,000,000 in Earnigns If ‘selinantis’ has his way, he’ll soon be the all-time leader in earnings for his home country of Lithuania. He took a huge step toward that goal this week when he passed the $3,000,000 earnings mark. He’s just the second Lithuanian to hit that mark Laurynas ‘laurisl91’ Levinskas by just a touch over $200,000. Two players joined the seven-figure earnings club this past week. Igor ‘M1ghtyducks’ Jelcic is just the fifth Croatian player to hit that mark. Meanwhile, Yago ‘yhsimplicio’ Simplicio joined the $1 million earnings club thanks to a couple of near-miss scores of just under $10,000. There are now 134 Brazilians in the $1,000,000 earnings category. Hungary’s ‘kZhh’ Continues Moving Up the Rankings ‘kZhh’ entered the top 100 of the PocketFives Rankings for the first time just last week, but his ascension shows no slow of slowing down. He moved form #58 to #53 this week thanks to a Sunday that saw him hit three four-figure scores, two of them earning him enough PLB points to make his move. He’s now the #3-ranked player in Hungary behind just Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth (#8 worldwide) and Laszlo 'omaha4rollz' Bujtas (#48 worldwide). Felipe ‘lipe piv’ Boianovsky Cracks Top 100 for First Time Seeing Brazilian players in the top 100 of the PocketFives Rankings is nothing new, but seeing Felipe ‘lipe piv’ Boianovsky in there is. Boianovsky went from #123 to #72 thanks to a runner-up finish in the PokerStars Thursday Thrill. The podium finish earned him $26,054 and added 289.84 PLB points to his total. It’s the third largest PLB haul for Boianovsky, behind a Super Tuesday third place finish (303.83) and his massive score for winning a SCOOP event earlier this year( 616.52). There are now 11 Brazilians in the top 100 - trailing just Canada, United Kingdom and Sweden, with 13 each. Other Players to Reach New Highs in the PocketFives Top 100 winwin07 from 24 to 23 nilsef from 35 to 33 Flat from 47 to 45 funwheel from 50 to 48 Perfect1232 from 70 to 68
  4. The opening week of the busy Spring season for online poker players allowed a number of the best tournament players to reach some impressive milestones with former #1-ranked Chris 'Gettin Daize' Oliver headlining the list. Oliver, who was ranked #1 twice for a total of 16 weeks in 2010, posted a 35th place finish in PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker Event #8 High ($530 NLHE w/rebuys) to become just the eighth player to get to the $9,000,000 career earnings mark. The former US-grinder, who know calls Costa Rica home, was one of 13 players to break through various million-dollar marks this week. 888poker pro Dominik 'bounatirouIMO" Nitsche is now part of the $4 million earnings group thanks to two big SCOOP scores. He finished runner-up in Event #10 High ($2,100 NLH Win the Button) for $75,000 and two days later fourth in the Event #15 Medium ($2,100 NLHE High Roller) for $115,800. Nitsche sits third on Germany's all-time earnings list behind only Giuseppe 'LeChiffre19' Pantaleo and 'niself'. Top-ranked Brazilian Diego 'MrBittar' Bittar was one of four players to hit the $3,000,000 mark. Joining Bittar were Sergio 'zcedrick' Aido, Maszat 'noirduck' Marci and 'cedrick1'. Two others hit the $2,000,000 mark: Sweden's 'machiavelli3' and Brazil's Regis 'capotinha' Kogler. Five players went from six-figures in lifetime earnings to seven this past week. 'fahrino' 'Apotheosis' 'Borraurelio' 'aziz.mancha' 'que_te_crio' While it wasn't quite seven figures, New Jersey's 'Acanthopis' hit a major milestone for players from the Garden State, passing $500,000 in lifetime earnings on regulated New Jersey sites. The top 100 of the PocketFives Rankings also saw a lot of career-bests. After posting seven cashes big enough to impact his PLB score, Swedish grinder 'inhoo' went from #3 to #2 - a career high for him. The Mexican SCOOP compound that Rory Young is in has clearly paid off. Young went from #18 to #14 Bittar also jumped into the top 20 for the first time, moving up 20 spots after his victory in SCOOP Event #4 High ($2,100 No Limit Hold’em) to #16. Other players in the top 100 who have moved to career-high rankings this past week. 5. [caption width="640"] Kenny 'SpaceyFCB' Hallaert has had himself an amazing year, both live and online (WSOP Photo/JoeGiron)[/caption] It was Christmas Day 2013 when ‘Sheater’ made PocketFives history by becoming the first Swedish player to sit atop the PocketFives Rankings. Since then six other Swedes have taken the #1 spot at some point while ‘Sheater’ has continued to grind away. This week ‘Sheater’ became just the third Swede to pass the $8,000,000 earnings mark, joining Johannes ’Greenstone25’ Korsar and Andreas ‘r4ndomr4gs’ Berggren. ‘Sheater’ hit the milestone thanks to three decent scores spanning April 25-26. He finished runner-up in the 888poker $25,000 Tuesday Challenge and then posted consecutive wins in the PokerStars $215 Turbo NLHE and PokerStars $109 NLHE. Those three scores combined to give him nearly $15,000 in earnings. Another Swede, ‘Pot4teUS’, also moved up into rare air this week and he was joined by Brazil’s Ariel ’ArielBahia’ Celestino. Both players moved past $4,000,000 in earnings. ‘Pot4teUS’ did it in dramatic fashion, winning the partypoker Heavyweight: The Uppercut on April 26 for $9,632.35. Celestino though had bigger things in mind. The #8-ranked player in Brazil won the PokerStars Hot $215 for $19,818 to become the 7th player from his home country with at least $4 million in earnings. From November Nine to Top 50 Worldwide Last summer Kenny ‘SpaceyFCB’ Hallaert navigated his way through the WSOP Main Event minefield to find himself in the 2016 November Nine. The Dutchman eventually finished 6th, but rather than rest on his laurels and $1.46 million score, Hallaert has continued to put in time online and now finds himself reaching new heights. This past week he went from #56 in the world to #47, breaking in to the top 50 for the first time in his career. Other players to hit career highs inside of the top 100 this past week included Ramiro ‘rayastar’ Petrone going from #30 to #28, Diego ’MrBittar’ Bittar moving from #43 to #36, Adrijan ‘Adrijan_S’ Sinishtaj from #59 to #50 and recent PokerStars Sunday Million champ ‘TheFan83’ getting into the top 100 for the first time in his career, rising from #130 to #89. Dainis 'ex6tence' Budovskis Grabs PLB Haul Winning the PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up is a boon for almost any player, and Latvian pro Dainis 'ex6tence' Budovskis is not different. Beating out 1,755 other players, Budovskis won $53,438.46 and walked away with a career-best 594.31 PLB points. He’s now ranked #63 in the world and #2 in Latvia. Hungary’s ‘kiscash’ also hit a massive score, earning 431.67 PLB points for winning the $22 buy-in Mini Sunday Million on PokerStars. His next biggest career score came two days earlier when he earned 98.51 points for winning an $11 NLHE Turbo event on PokerStars.
  6. [caption width="640"] Renato ‘bauruzito’ Valentim could be the next Brazilian player to hit #1 in the world (PokerStars photo)[/caption] Every Sunday The PocketFives Milestone Report looks at the online poker players who are achieving career-best achievement or reaching new heights in the rankings Another Brazil Superstar in the Making Brazil has a long history of being one of the most dominant countries in the online poker scene. Four different Brazilians have held the #1 rankings on PocketFives and dozens more have found their way into the top 10. The next player to fit that criteria just might be Renato ‘bauruzito’ Valentim. Valentim climbed from #34 in the world to #18 in the PocketFives Rankings just one week after hitting a career-best score in the PokerStars Super Tuesday. He’s now the #2-ranked player in Brazil behind only Joao ‘joaosimaobh’ Simao, who is #14 in the world. Career High Rankings Brazilian players have a strong history, but so do the Swedes. Half of the current top 10 players are Swedish and they could soon be joined by one more. Going from #219 to #22 in the world, ‘Minzopug’ recently finished runner-up in the 11th Anniversary Special Edition PokerStars Sunday Million for a career best $785,999 cash and 2,204.7 PLB points. Other players to hit career high rankings in the top 100 included Diego ’MrBittar’ Bittar of Brazil (#45), ‘Sphinx87’ (#48) and Adrijan ‘adrijan_s’ Sinishtaj (#61). The Million Dollar Club Continues to Grow There were six players this week to break through the $1 million mark this past week, bringing the total number of tracked players with seven-figures worth of career earnings to 1,637. The six newest members are Troubaduren, AcePheres, NikAs, LeoJose, gringenkov and JaNdRo27. There were 12 players who hit the $500,000 earnings mark, highlighted of course by ‘Minzopug’. The other 11 were: th9nip, slowpla16, Kaktus26rus, gruzasim, ZoMbiE2808, chaimito f, fill_zed, panpankracy, biszibosz, preTu.ras and delfina_47. Daniel ‘RedsoxNets5’ Sewnig Moving On Up in New Jersey While players outside of the United States were hitting milestones left and right this week, an American player also broke through to grab one of his own. Daniel ‘RedsoxNets5’ Sewnig now has over $500,000 in lifetime earnings after finishing fifth in the PokerStarsNJ BIG Sunday Special for $6,108.
  7. Over the last few years, players from Brazil have had an amazing ride in the PocketFives Rankings. Joao Mathias Baumgarten, Yuri Martins, Joao Simao and Caio Pessagno have all held down the #1 spot in the world at some point and it appears they may have company very soon. Renato Almeida Prado Valentim, known online as 'bauruzito', continues to move up the Rankings and this past week found himself at an all-time high at #16. That's up two spots from the previous week. He's now the second-highest ranked Brazilian behind Simao, who is currently #13 in the world. His upward move could mostly be attributed to his runner-up finish in the PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up on May 28. He earned $35,508 and added 376.12 PLB points to his total. He picked up three more qualifying cashes last week as well to bring his total PLB points earned for the week to 782.9. Valentim wasn't the only player to jump into the top 20 for the first time though. Russia's 'Ti0' went from #21 to #19 and is the second Russian currently in the top 20 along with 'hellohellohello' who is just ahead of him at #18. Other players to reach career high marks inside the top 100 include 'nilsef' (#35), Pablo 'pabritz' Brito Silva (#52), 'Apotheosis' (#57), Akash 'funwheel' Majumdar (#59) and, cracking the top 100 for the first time in his career, 'Perfect1232' (#73). Finland's 'gifuhorna' Latest $3 million Man Even though he's currently ranked just outside of the top 1,000 players in the world, Finland's 'gifuhorna' still managed to find himself breaking through a major career milestone this past week. Thanks to a string of moderate-sized cashes over the past seven days, 'gifuhorna' managed to surpass $3,000,000 in career earnings. There are just 3033 players to have hit that number over the course of their career. There were three other players who managed to finally join the seven-figure club; 'nandinhojah', 'guix2x' and 'kyleeeOMC'.
  8. Every Sunday The PocketFives Milestone Report looks at the online poker players who are achieving career-best achievement or reaching new heights in the rankings Winning a PocketFives Triple Crown is pretty difficult and puts a player into rare air in the online poker tournament scene. In 2014 it’s happened only 14 times and Andreas ‘r4ndomr4gs’ Berggren has three of them - two came last week. As a reminder, players need to win three tournaments inside of a seven-day period and those tournaments need to have a $10,000 minimum prize pool, a field of at least 100 players and have a real money buy-in. Berggren’s first Triple Crown of 2017 came in February, but this past week he managed to turn some run good into a couple more. The first one came as the result of three wins from April 24 - 27. He won the PokerStars Big $215 on April 24 for $8,759, the partypoker Heavyweight: Drago on April 25 for $2,573 and then the 888poker Crocodile for $4,209 on April 27. That same day he started his quest for the second one by winning the Winamax XTASE for $4,834 and the partypoker Heavyweight: The Eliminator for $6,713 and then wrapped it all up on May 1 with a win in the PokerStars $109 NLHE for $4,643. He now has seven Triple Crown over the course his career, tied for seventh all time. Another Swede Continues to Climb the Earnings Ladder Anybody who has paid close attention to the PocketFives Rankings over the past few years knows that Swedes have done well. In the same week that Berggren won six tournaments and two Triple Crowns, fellow countryman ‘Ariados’ cracked the $7 million lifetime earnings mark. He’s one of just 28 players to have that number over the course of their career. His 16th place finish in the partypoker Heavyweight on April 30 was the result that put him past the number. He’s since followed that up with two wins resulting in five-figure scores. Other players hitting earnings milestones this week including Denmark’s Jonas Klausen, who passed the $3 million mark, as well as ‘rtspurs’ and India’s ‘Karan Radia’ who both broke through $1 million. One of the hottest players in New Jersey, David ‘dehhhhh’ Coleman, also hit a big number this week. In the same week that he rose to the #1 spot in the New Jersey rankings, he also passed the $500,000 mark. Argentina’s Brighest Star Pushing for World Wide Spotlight The top-ranked player in Argentina, Ramiro ‘rayastar’ Petrone, might not be out of the worldwide top 20 for much longer. This past week Petrone moved from #28 to #23 after a 48-hour period that saw him cash four times for a total of 561.25 PLB points. He’s now just 263 points outside of the top 20. Other players who moved up inside of the top 100 to career best marks: ‘Gedis92’: 46 to 44 Kenny ’SpaceyFCB’ Hallaert : 47 to 46 Adrijan ’Adrijan_s’ Sinishtaj: 50 to 48 ‘kofi89’: 56 to 49 ‘omaha4rollz’: 61 to 60 ‘TheFan83’: 89 to 86 ‘ksieciunio’: 93 to 88 David ’davaman’ Lopez: 101 to 92

The former #1 player has been a PocketFives member for over 11 years and has reached a new plateau of success with his latest achievement. Players Climbing Toward The Top-50 The top-50 threshold is always a competitive one and a few players are nearing that landmark achievement. Russia’s Andrey ‘drupalucker’ Chernokoz is up to #56 with a win in the PokerStars $320 Six-Max playing a role in that result. From Argentina, Rodrigo ‘sonmonedas’ Perez, is up to #54 in the world. Perez has three wins in July and is up to $880,000 in earnings after being a PocketFives members for just over two full years. A few other players moving up in the top-100 are: Lorenzo Bazei from 71 to 70 papan9_p$ from 73 to 67 Deepincidurr from 103 to 83 ZDARLIGHT23 from 101 to 92 More Millionaires Club Members There are three PocketFives members who have reached $1,000,000 in earnings this past week with England, Russia and the Ukraine all represented. 10. Every week The PocketFives Milestone Report looks at the online poker players who are achieving career-best achievement or reaching new heights in the rankings C Darwin2 Top $7 Million Lifetime Earnings October’s PLB winner and current #1-ranked online player on the planet, Sweden’s ‘C Darwin2’ added a new accolade to his ever-growing list of accomplishments this week when he surpassed $7 million in lifetime earnings. Not only did he fly right by the benchmark, he did it in style by outright winning the PokerStars $215 Fat Thursday for over $16,000. His victory was one of three top 3 finishes over the course of the week, resulting in over $50,000 in cashes. At this rate, it will only be a few weeks before the Swede returns to the Milestones headlines as he closes in on his $7.5 million badge. Making new high marks of his own was The Netherlands #1-ranked player, Tommie ‘TommieJ’ Janssen who grinded his way past the $4 million lifetime earnings mark this week as well. Two More Join $2 Million Romania’s top-ranked pro Nedelcu ‘Narcisus90’ Narcis as well as ‘macqueen56’from France both topped the $2 million mark this week. Narcis’ sixth place finish in the PokerStars $215 Bounty Builder for nearly $4,500 on November 5 was the tournament that helped him get over the hump. In similar fashion, for the full-time grinder ‘macqueen56’ it was his runner-up finish in the partypoker $10,000 GTD on Monday, November 6. A career-high score, in terms of PLB points, for ‘PSCPRODIGY’ helped him become one of four players to earn $1 million in lifetime earnings this week. ‘PSCPRODIGY’, Thailand’s #2-ranked player, soared past the $1 million mark with his win in the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller for $58,039 and 529.15 PLB points. Joining him in earning the million milestone was Lithuania’s ‘shakalas’, Zimbabwe’s ‘Rakietman’ and ‘Pustota’ who plays out of Cheboksary, Russia. ’Jughead11’ enters Top 100, ‘josef_shvejk’ & ‘rolandbauer’ ascend in Top 20 Nine players made moves in the Top 100 Worldwide rankings, with Joseph ‘Jughead11’ Lacasse appearing for the first time. As the Canadian Lacasse approached $500,000 in lifetime earnings, his new entry into the Top 100 can be attributed to a string of cashes boosted by his second-place finish in the PokerStars $215 Sunday Warmup in the last week of October, providing him over 373 PLB points and $34,940. Russia's‘josef_shvejk’ took another step towards the Top 10 as he moved from 16 to 15 in the rankings this week. Ranked #2 in all of Russia, his move up could likely be traced back to his first-place finish in the Hot $109 on PokerStars early in the week earning him over 205.18 PLB points in addition to the approximately $7,500. The most notable move of the week belongs to Austria’s ‘rolandbauer’ who leapt 18 spots from #30 right into the thick of the Top 20, landing at #12. Two big-time finishes in a 48 hours period not only gave him the boost he needed to get to the edge of the Top 10, but it also puts him on the precipice of $2 million in lifetime earnings. He took first place in partypoker’s Sunday Super High Roller for $55,809 and then, just days later, a second place finish in PokerStars Super Tuesday for another $41,988. Career High Rankings In Top 100 Joseph 'Jughead11' Lacasse - #105 to #97 Victor 'vitinhorrn15' Pedote dos Santos - #94 to #86 Jonathan 'proudflop' Proudfoot - #74 to 360 'tiarc' - #61 to #54 'kofi89' - #48 to #45 'papan9_p$' - #30 to #29 Pedro 'PaDiLhA SP' Padilha - #22 to #21 'josef_shvejk' - #16 to #15 'rolandbauer' - #30 to #12

Every week The PocketFives Milestone Report looks at the online poker players who are achieving career-best achievement or reaching new heights in the rankings Doug 'OU_dlanger610' Lang Hits $4 Million Earnings Mark Two Sundays ago, Canada’s Doug 'OU_dlanger610' Lang beat out 6,261 other players to win the PokerStars Sunday Million and the $187,667.92 first place prize money that came with it. That win represents the second largest score of Lang’s online career and propelled him to within striking distance of $4,000,000 in earnings. It took him just four more days and a fourth place finish in the 888poker Tornado to push past that number. Lang is the 165th player, and 29th Canadian, to hit that number. ‘pappadogg’ Joins $3 Million Club Just 328 players have managed to earn more than $3,000,000 in their online poker careers. The most recent member of that exclusive club is the top-ranked player in the Czech Republic, ‘pappadogg’. He hit the number thanks to a pair of min-cashes on America’s Cardroom. Brazilian ‘keyhell’ moved past $2,000,000 in earnings and 'DelfiNchik1' and Fellipe ‘FellipeD’ Drapichinski became the 1,683rd and 1,684th players to crack seven figures in lifetime earnings. Chris ‘Apotheosis’ Kruk On Verge of Top 25 Chris ‘Apotheosis’ Kruk is the top-ranked player in Canada right now and suddenly finds himself just outside of the top 25 of the Worldwide Rankings. Every week The PocketFives Milestone Report looks at the online poker players who are achieving career-best achievement or reaching new heights in the rankings From Nowhere to Top 50 for Hungary's 'kZhh' When 'kZhh' first joined PocketFives a little over 14 months ago, he was nowhere near the top of the PocketFives Rankings. Now he appears to be well on his way to joining the cream at the top. The Hungarian first made headlines in June when he won the PokerStars Sunday Million for $176,213 and 1,084.34 PLB points. He's ridden that massive score first into the top 100 and now into the top 50, having landed at #50 this week. He's also the #2-ranked player in Hungary, 2,220.97 points behind Andres 'probirs' Nemeth. Top Bangladeshi Akash 'funwheel' Majumdar Continues Climb Bangladesh is a country with a population of just over 163 million and the best online poker player of that group remains Akash 'funwheel' Majumdar. But just like 'kZhh', it might not be long before he's up there with the top 25 players in the entire world. Majumdar moved up one spot from #48 to #47 thanks to his win in the partypoker Heavyweight: The Eliminator on June 28. The 133.42 poitns was his seventh largest PLB score and comes a little over a month after he won a PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker for $225,011 and 1,590.53 PLB points. 13. Every week The PocketFives Milestone Report looks at the online poker players who are achieving career-best achievement or reaching new heights in the rankings Kenny Hallaert Stays Hot It seems that Kenny Hallaert really can do no wrong these days. Less than a month after making yet another deep run in the 2017 World Series of Poker Main Event, Hallaert returned to the online poker world and immediately went to work. This past week Hallaert took down three tournaments on three different sites to claim the second PocketFives Triple Crown of his career. The first two legs of this Triple Crown came on Tuesday, Aug. 1 when he took down the $1,050 Super Tuesday on PokerStars for $63,162 and the partypoker High Roller for $11,904. Hallaert wrapped up the Triple Crown by taking down the 888poker WHale on Sunday, Aug. 6 for $44,250. Hallaert's first Triple Crown came back in April. The Belgian poker player, who doesn't consider himself a professional, is now ranked #13 in the world. Another Swede Approaching Top 5 Worldwide Right now all five of the top five spots in the PocketFives Rankings belong to Swedish players. Those five may have some company soon though as 'DeathbyQuads' continues to move upward in the rankings. This past week he went from #8 to #7 based off of three big scores that earned him a total of 586.8 points. He wasn't the only player to achieve a career-high ranking this past week. Hallaert's move from #19 to #13 is also a career best. Russia's 'papan9_p$' moved to #30 while 'funwheel' jumped from #43 to #40. Two players, Carlos Felipe Difini and 'sinkedshrimp', both moved into the top 100 for the first time in their career.
  14. Every week The PocketFives Milestone Report looks at the online poker players who are achieving career-best achievement or reaching new heights in the rankings Johannes ‘Greenstone25’ Korsar Eclipses $10M 2017 has been a banner year for the $10M club. It was four years ago when Chris 'Moorman1' Moorman first broke the $10 million mark and for a long time, he sat alone sat at the top of the mountain. This year though he was joined in the rarified air by four other players, including Chris ‘Big Huni’ Hunichen who hit the $10M mark just two weeks ago. Now, right on Hunichen’s heels, there’s a sixth member in the eight-figure fraternity, Sweden’s Johannes ‘Greenstone25’ Korsar. Korsar, currently ranked #15 in the world, completed the feat earlier this week when he took down the partypoker $50K guaranteed High Roller Warm Up on for over $13,000 and on the same day followed that up with a 10th place finish in the $50K guaranteed High Roller and a fourth place in the $100K guaranteed High Roller for another $8,391. His combined scores that day was more than enough to put Korsar over the top and in elite company. Conor ‘1_conor_b_1’ Beresford Sails Past $5M The UK’s current top online pro, Conor ‘‘1_conor_b_1’ Beresford cruised right past $5,000,000 in lifetime cashes this week when he took first place in the PokerStars $162 Deep Stacks (No Limit Hold’em $7.5 gtd) on October 25 for just over $2,700. The score, which appears as just another deep run in a long list of cashes for the voluminous grinder, makes Beresford the 89th player to reach the prestigious plateau. While Korsar and Beresford both touched major milestones this week, a number of grinders reached new marks in their careers. Latvia’s #1-ranked crusher Dainis ‘ex6tence’ Budovskis exceeded the $4M mark after his fourth-place finish in the PokerStars $1,050 Thursday Thrill for over $14,000. Both Andrey ‘drupalucker’ Chernokoz and ‘iamVolanD’ from Russia passed $2 million lifetime earnings. Chernokoz also made moves in the Worldwide rankings, jumping three spots from 49 to 46th in the world. Ireland’s Kamal ‘AceofShamrocks’ Singh, Farcasanu ‘alexxt7’ Alexandru out of Romania and Brazil’s ‘dibmestre’ all surpassed the $1 million lifetime earnings benchmark this week. Victor Pedote 'vitinhorrn15' dos Santos Cracks the Top 100 Brazil's 12th ranked pro,Victor Pedote 'vitinhorrn15' dos Santos made major moved in the PocketFives.com Worldwide Ranking this week, leaping 23 spots and right into the Top 100. The major jump could be attributed to his victory in the partypoker $200K Gtd High Roller which not only brought him 447.21 PLB points but over $33,000. Along with dos Santos and Chernokoz, five other PocketFivers reached new heights in the top 100 Worldwide Rankings. Victor Pedote 'vitinhorrn15' dos Santos - #117 to #94 Jonathan ‘proudflop’ Proudfoot - #86 to #74 nsmirnov - #69 to #66 Andrey ’drupalucker’ Chernokov - #49 to #46 Mikensonas - #53 to #45 Bernardo Rocha - #49 to #43 David ‘davaman’ Lopez - #40 to #31
  15. Every week The PocketFives Milestone Report looks at the online poker players who are achieving career-best achievement or reaching new heights in the rankings Chris ‘Big Huni’ Hunichen Joins $10M Club Chris Moorman did it four years ago. Since then just three other players have managed to hit the $10M lifetime earnings mark and all three have done it in the last nine months. Bryan Paris (February), Nicolas Fierro (March) and Sebastian Sikorski(May) now have some company. Chris Hunichen hit the $10 million mark this week and he did it in style. Hunichen won the partypoker $530 High Roller on October 3 for a $15,430.90 score. The final table also included Fierro and current #1-ranked ‘lena900’. The next closest player to the $10 million milestone is Sweden’s Johannes ‘Greenstone25’ Korsar with $9,928,785.20. Jordan ‘JWPRODIGY’ Westmorland Hits $5M While Hunichen was busy joining the elite group of players at the very top of the all-time earnings list, Jordan ‘JWPRODIGY’ Westmorland was doing his part to join him. Westmorland, who know calls Thailand home, became the 87th player to pass $5 million in lifetime earnings. Westmorland also broke through this latest milestone with a big win. He topped an 82-player field in the $320 PokerStars Six Max NLHE event on October 1 to win $6,639.79. That final table also included ‘lena900’. Ivan 'Banicivan' Banic, the #1-ranked player from Croatia, continues to move up the worldwide rankings and this past week hit an all-time personal night of #16. Banic had himself quite the week. Mcallister, who appears to play a light online schedule, came out for the High Rollers and found his way into the money in four of them. The score in Event #21 was, far and away, his best of the series as his other three cashes combined went for just over $12,500. The $90,000 cash is Mcallister's largest of 2017 but it's not nearly a career-high, as just last year he made headlines as he claimed victory in PokerStars' WCOOP-53 $10,300 High Roller for a massive $656,866. The partypoker ambassador leveraged a victory in the partypoker $40K Heavyweight for over $10,000 last week to get him to the $4 million doorstep and then crossed the threshold with a relatively minor cash when the UK pro picked up $438 in the PokerStars $215 Sunday Warm-up on November 12. Eclipsing $4 million plateau is, perhaps, the icing on the cake of the year that is 2017 for Leonard. In addition to his online exploits, Leonard went on the heater of a lifetime this summer when, over the course of one week in July, he won, not one, but two Aria High Roller tournaments for approximately $789,000. The #2-ranked UK grinder then found himself winning out in the $10,300 Bellagio Cup XIII Event for an additional $475,000. It’s $3 million for the #300-ranked Georgios ‘zisimo7’ Zisimopoulos. Athen’s own Zisimopoulos had a very successful week online, cashing for over $30,000. This included a third-place finish in the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for over $9300, the score that sent him soaring past $3 million. Zimbabwe’s ‘eatyourstac’ also reached new heights as the small-to-mid-stakes grinder surpassed $2 million in lifetime earnings.
