  1. [caption width="640"] Ian 'APokerJoker2' Steinman continues to dominate the Nevada Online Poker Rankings.[/caption] Ian 'APokerJoker2' Steinman continued his dominance over Nevada online poker in the month of May after finishing atop the Nevada Online Poker Rankings for the fourth straight month. Steinman won 18 tournaments over the 31-day span and had countless other final table appearances. While his biggest win was worth $2,263 on May 6 in the $3,000 guaranteed nightly rebuy and add-on, but his biggest score of the month came in a runner-up finish for $3,312 in the $10,000 guaranteed Sunday Reloader. Mark “wsopfreezer” Johns jumped a spot this month and sits in the second spot on the leaderboard. Johns is right on the heels of Steinman, just 35 points behind the current leader. This is the closest anybody has been to knocking Steinman out of the top stop in a few months. Johns took down eight tournaments in May and capped it off with a five-figure score. On May 29, Johns took home $10,969.83 for his win in the $500 buy-in $20,000 guaranteed “BIG Deal.” The win gives him $147,868.50 in earnings on WSOP.com alone and puts him in a position to potentially overtake the top spot with a strong June. Bobby 'bcm4924' McLawhorn dropped a spot and is now in third place. McLawhorn took down six events of his own, but his biggest cash came from a third place effort in the $20,000 guaranteed Weekly Sunday on May 22. McLawhorn earned $2,847 for his deep run. Rounding out the top five are David 'MastAAce08' Goodman and Paul “PaulDewald' Dewald. After another strong month, Goodman jumped from fifth to fourth, while Dewald jumped from seventh to fifth and has been trending upward in the rankings for the last two months. 'DatDude' also moved in the right direction throughout May. He netted 27 cashes in May and earned two titles to jump up from the eighth spot to sixth on the leaderboard. While Goodman, Dewald and 'DatDude' have been trending upward, Michael 'Freakinpoet76' Mulvania dropped in the rankings for the second straight month. In April, he fell out of the top five and was in the sixth spot, and in May he dropped another spot, sitting in seventh. Mulvania cashed 15 times in May with 14 final table appearances, but couldn't take one down and finished second in four events. 'Sunesona' and 'RichrdParker' are the two newcomers into the top 10 this month, with 'ChaosTheory' and 'Power' falling out of the top 10. They sit in eighth and 10th place, respectively. For the second consecutive month, 'voff' finishes the month in ninth place. Nevada Online Poker Rankings Top 10 1. 2. Yet again, Yong 'ykwon17' Kwon (aka 'LuckySpewy1'), is atop the PocketFives United States Online Poker Rankings, as he continues to crush tournaments out of New Jersey. Kwon has 5,205 points, which is ore than 300 points ahead of Daniel 'centrfieldr' Lupo in second place. Kwon has been charging hard in the online poker streets daily, and we don’t expect he’ll be slowing down anytime soon, especially with the WSOP.com Fall Online Championships running for much of October. [ptable zone="Global Poker Article Ad"][ptable zone="888poker NJ"][ptable zone="GG Poker"] Kwon has been a fixture on the podium of online poker tournaments in recent weeks, with 22 top-three finishes dating back to September 1. Over that time period, he has seven victories. Kwon's most recent win came in the PokerStars NJ Sunday High Roller [6-Max] - $500, $8,000 Gtd on October 6, when he took first place for $5,640 and 106.21 points. On September 26, he won the PokerStars NJ $250 Thursday Thrill [Progressive KO], $5,000 Gtd for $1,767 and 69.11 points. Kwon’s biggest score dating back to the beginning of September was a third-place finish in the WSOP.com $30,000 Weekly Sunday [Re-entry, 6 Max] on September 23 for $6,837 and 122.45 points. Overall, Kwon now has more than $2.6 million in lifetime online tournament earnings. As you can expect, Kwon also leads the New Jersey Online Poker Rankings, which has the exact same top 10 leaderboard as the U.S. Online Poker Rankings. It’s not until you get to #12 on the U.S. Online Poker Rankings leaderboard that you find someone from outside of New Jersey. That someone would be David ‘bewater’ Goodman who plays out of Nevada and is the new top-ranked player in the Nevada Online Poker Rankings after overtaking Jed ‘JCHAK’ Hoffman. Goodman has booked nine four-figure cashes going back to the start of September, including three wins for nearly $16,000 combined in a one-week span, all coming on WSOP.com. He won the $15,000 Weekly Friday [Re-entry, 6 Max] on September 14 for $5,294 and 128.62 points, the $15,000 Weekly Sunday Deepstack [R&A, Super Addon] on September 16 for $5,565 and 143.57 points, and the $15,000 GTD Circuit Warm-Up Turbo Deepstack [Re-entry] on September 21 for $4,855 and 132.87 points. Checking in on Pennsylvania, where regulated PA online poker is set to launch soon, Thai 'thaiha91' Ha is still atop the Pennsylvania Online Poker Rankings with 1,281 points. 3. New Jersey grinder David 'dehhhhh' Coleman had a strong December on the virtual felt and as a result has taken over the #1 spot on the USA Online Poker Rankings. Coleman cashed 30 times in December but picked up a bulk of his points with impressive back-to-back wins in the PokerStars Sunday Special. On December 15, Coleman topped the 116-entry field in the $200 buy-in event to win $6,250 and lockup 158.11 PLB points. One week later, he beat out 114 other players to win another $6,250 and 158.11 PLB points. He also managed to pick up 102.7 points thanks to a runner-up finish in the WSOP $15,00 Weekly Saturday on December 8. His total earnings for December were $15,272. [ptable zone="Global Poker Article Ad"][ptable zone="888poker"][ptable zone="PokerStars NJ"] One spot behind Coleman was former #1-ranked American Yong 'ykwon17' Kwon. Kwon cashed just 14 times but managed to win the PokerStars NJ Nightly Stars on two separate occasions for 95.33 and 96.29 PLB points respectively. Sandwiched between those two scores was a sixth-place finish in the WSOP.com Sunday Weekly for 71.5 points. Jon 'itsmejon' Borenstein holds down the #3 spot following a massive month in terms of PLB points earned. He cashed just nine times and just three of those counted towards his PLB total. He won the WSOP.com $100,000 GTD Sunday on December 2 for $29,256 and 332.26 points. Three weeks later he did it again, this time winning $28,859 and 330 points. He also picked up 60.17 points for an eighth-place finish in the WSOP.com $30,000 Weekly Sunday on December 2 and 96.22 points for coming in third. The #1 player from the Silver State is David 'bewater' Goodman at #15. He is currently sitting on 2,944 points - 1,710 points behind Coleman for top spot. Goodman continues to hold on to the top spot despite taking nearly all of December off. He cashed just once and it wasn't a strong enough finish to count towards his PLB total. Tanner 'Bamatide88' Bibat sits at #2 after having three of his five December cashes boost his PLB points total to 2,783. On December 17, Bibat finished second in the $5,555 Weekly Monday for $1,071 and 52.37 points. Then, on December 23, he finished 11th in the WSOP.com $15,000 Weekly Sunday Deepstack for $262 and 33.68 points before taking down the WSOP.com $7,000 Daily Turbo Deepstack for $2,179 and 87.43 points. Rounding out the podium for Nevada is Jed 'JCHAK' Hoffman. He started December off with a fifth-place finish in the WSOP.com $10,000 Weekly Saturday event for $885 and 43.13 points. He then picked up 45.42 points in the Sunday $100,000 to finish off the month. Ian 'APokerJoker2' Steinman moved up to #4 in Nevada after having four of his five December cashes add 212.59 points to his PLB total. Steinman now sits at 1,056th in the world - an all-time high for him. 4. It’s been a good start to 2020 for New Jersey-based online grinder David ‘dehhhhh’ Coleman who sits atop the USA Online Poker Rankings for the second month in a row. Coleman (4,496 PLB points) picked up a pair of victories early in the month, taking down the January 10 edition of the PokerStars NJ Nightly Stars for $1,925 as well as the January 12 WSOP.com $10,000 Weekly Saturday for another $2,850. However, he picked up his biggest scores of January as the end of the month booking a pair of five-figure cashes in back-to-back fashion. First up, Coleman fell just short of taking down the $400 PokerStars NJ Winter Series Main Event, finishing as the runner-up for an $11,839 payday plus 188.20 PLB points. The very next day, on January 27, he again finished in second in WSOP.com’s $50,000 Monthly Sunday for $13,466 and another 183.01 PLB points. In total Colman racked up 48 results in the month, nine of which were good for podium finishes. Coleman pulled in just over $64,000 for the month, more than four times his earnings for December 2019. [ptable zone="Global Poker Article Ad"][ptable zone="888poker"][ptable zone="PokerStars NJ"] After a long stretch in the #1 spot in 2019, Yong ‘ykwon17’ Kwon (4,237 PLB points) spent his second month in a row in the #2 spot. Sitting just 259 PLB points behind Coleman, Kwon picked up some impressive January results. His biggest score of the month came on January 8 when he took down WSOP.com’s $20,000 Weekly Tuesday for $8,301. He nearly matched that later in the month when he finished in fifth in the WSOP.com $50,000 Monthly Sunday for another $6,233. Kwon ended January with 12 five-figure cashes and six outright victories. He currently sits as ranked at #109 in the world. Daniel ‘centrfieldr’ Lupo (3,898 PLB points) jumped up one spot to #3 in the rankings, with the help of five PLB-qualifying cashes in January. On January 22 he took down Event #9 of the PokerStars NJ Winter Series ($30 NLHE Mini Super Tuesday) for $2,072 and 107.46 PLB points. He followed that up with a runner-up finish in the Winter Series $50 Mini Main Event for $2,521 and another 90.77 PLB points. Lupo had 16 cashes in the month, seven of which were good for four-figures. In total, he earned just over $15,500. Despite not putting in a lot of volume, Vladimir ‘Donate_here’ Alexandrov (3,867 PLB points) had a very successful start to 2020. He earned over $36,000 on the back of just 12 cashes. Alexandrov's spotlight score was his victory in the January 15 edition of the WSOP.com Tuesday Showdown for $10,788 and 189.63 PLB pints. He also picked up another $7,849 and 120.74 PLB points with his fourth-place finish in the WSOP.com $50,000 Monthly Sunday at the end of the month. He earned three victories in January and seven of his 12 results were for four-figures or more. Perhaps just one more PLB qualifying cash would have bumped him into third place for January as he finished just 31 PLB points behind Lupo. New Jersey grinder Jon ‘itsmejon’ Borenstein slipped two spots to wrap up the top five. His decline has nothing to do with his play because Borenstein appeared to take January off. With no results to speak of in January, Borenstein kept his top five ranking thanks to the strength of past performances including his two $20,000+ scores he had in December 2019. Bibat picked up nine PLB-qualifying cashes in January to wrestle the top spot away from perennial contender David ‘bewater’ Goodman. Bibat’s biggest score of the month arrived on January 4 with his final table finish in WSOP.com’s $15,000 Weekly Friday for $2,447 and 68.08 PLB points.
