  1. If you haven't heard, the 2015 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) is going on at PokerStars. In a $700 No Limit Hold'em Six-Max Three-Stack event that took place over the course of two days, two PocketFivers went at it for the title: Patrick pleno1Leonard (pictured) and Roman Romeopro Romanovskyi. --- Tournament Poker Edgeis the only poker training site dedicated exclusively to MTTs and features over 1,000 training videos, blogs, articles, podcasts and a dedicated strategy forum for members. Check Tournament Poker Edge out on Twitter. --- Leonard entered Day 2 of the event with double the stack of the next closest player, fellow PocketFiver Barry86. No chop was had and it took just five hands of heads-up play to determine a winner. In the PocketFiver on PocketFiver violence that ended matters, Romanovskyi check-called a bet of 2.2 million on a flop of 3-4-10 to see another 3 on the turn. The action went check-check to a river 2 and Leonard nearly put Romanovskyi all-in. Romanovskyi called for what essentially was his tournament life and saw Leonard roll over 4-3 for a full house. Romanovskyi mucked and was eliminated on the next hand. Here's how the six-max event's final table paid out: 1. pleno1- $108,415.51 2. Romeopro- $81,311.21 3. Manni1822 - $61,860.29 4. JJ@mess - $43,047.11 5. HKN291209 - $30,292.41 6. Barry86- $19,132.05 Leonard has been on a tear this year in big tournament series. As the PokerStars Blog explained, "Normally the Omaha specialist based on past finishes, Leonard nearly snagged a watch in SCOOP 2014 Event #35-M PLO Hi/Lo as the runner-up and [had]a sixth place in this year's TCOOP Event #14 NLO Hi/Lo." Leonard was #1 in the PocketFives Rankings last year. The third place player, Barry86, who plays on PokerStars under the handle pinguinho, won two big Sunday tournaments on PokerStars last weekend, including the weekly Six-Max for $14,000. He has over $1.6 million in career online tournament winnings and calls Poland home. Finally, Romanovskyi (pictured) was ranked #3 on our site earlier this year and has a healthy $5.5 million in online tournament scores. He has 536 top-three finishes in MTTs we track. 4. The biggest day of the week in the world of online poker came around quickly once again, with Patrick Leonard, Parker Talbot, Tomi Brouk, and world ranked #1 'Lena900' all picking up Sunday victories. The largest prizes up for grabs came as expected in the PokerStars $215 Sunday Million as 5,657 entrants created a $1,131,400 prize pool. Ireland's Aidan 'yaboybush' Hynes departed in fourth place for $52,808 and banked by far his biggest online cash to date. Hynes' departure paved the way for the final three to agree to a money-deal, which secured each player a six-figure score. Brazil's 'fred_volpe' was the first player to fall post-deal and took away $101,342 in third place, which left only Irishman James 'deyrzuited' Noonan and 'MrFure' in contention for the title. Noonan, who is a former Ireland #1 ranked player, was ultimately the one to miss out on the glory and departed as runner-up with his $100,227 share of the prize pool. 'MrFure' was crowned the Sunday Million winner and walked away with $133,713. Patrick 'pads1161' Leonard came through an 87 player field to take the win in the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller. 'Lena900', Ricardo 'riversouza' Souza, Timothy Adams, and 'sk2ll_m0dR' all came and went on the final table before Russia's 'Futti18' exited in third place for $24,580. Leonard then got the better of Bulgaria's 'cskar4e1' and claimed the $41,580 first-place prize, with the latter having to settle for $31,969 as runner-up. It was a good day for BITB staking, after Tomi 'elmerixx' Brouk followed in the footsteps of his business partner Leonard by taking down the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder PKO High Roller. 'huiiiiiiiii' departed from the 1,018 player field with the bronze medal for $22,531.64 + $7,898.44 in bounty prizes which left a final battle between 'elmerixx' and 'C.Darwin2'. But the well-known Swedish player was unable to get the better of the Finn 'elmerixx' and 14 hours after the tournament began the latter picked up the win for $41,936.73 + $37,028.20, with 'C.Darwin2' banking $30,739.06 + $8,019.53 in second. 'viskuzi' claimed the PokerStars $215 Sunday Warm-Up title following a heads-up deal with 'JopperHarryN'. 1,048 entrants took part in the tournament and created a $209,600 prize pool. 'RaiseYourEdge' head coach 'bencb789' took third place for $17,581 before the final two agreed to a money-deal and played out for the win. 'JopperHarryN' fell at the final hurdle and banked $27,021, as 'viskuzi' took the win for $31,440. Sweden's current world ranked #1 'Drulitooo' aka 'Lena900' saw off 59 other entrants to win the partypoker $2,600 Super Sunday High Roller for $41,480. Eight places were paid from the 60 player field, and after 'nipa3p3' was sent to the virtual rail in third place for $21,750, the final two agreed to a deal. 'j2805667' ultimately took away $40,269 for their share of the remaining prize pool as runner-up, and the Swede extended his lead at the top of the online rankings after another gold medal performance. 'PotatoLottery' won over $67,000 after coming out on top in the partypoker $1,050 KO Series #04-HR tournament. As part of the 'Knock-Out' series currently running on the site, this tournament saw 247 entrants compete for a share of the $300,000 prize pool. 'rafaelmoraesgm' exited in third place for $18,905.56 + $1,503.12 in bounties before 'PotatoLottery' was able to defeat 'Pider Ninni' heads-up, with the latter banking $26,591.80 + $8,600.31 and the silver medal. Over on 888poker, it was a great evening for popular twitch streamer Parker '888tonkaaaa' Talbot who won the $215 Sunday Mega Deep after a heads-up deal with 'sikosomatik'. The Canadian 888poker ambassador concluded the deal after 'bossamtisch1' had departed in third place for $10,879, and the final two played out for the all-important top spot. 5. The final Sunday of online poker action in 2018 saw former PocketFives.com #1 ranked player Patrick 'pads1161' Leonard bank over $112,000 after he achieved both a Gold and Silver medal finish. In the biggest event of the day, the PokerStars Sunday Million, 5,597 entrants created a $1,119,400 prize pool with former WCOOP champion 'Erickie' going the distance to win $151,184. 'Gossimer007' departed in third place for $74,452, before Canada's 'pisky16' lost out to Holland's 'Erickie' during heads-up and settled for $106,092 as runner-up. The PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller title went to the Patrick Leonard after he came through a 98 player field. PokerStars Team Pro Liv Boeree was the first player to depart from the final table of nine before 'ga207' and 'imluckbox' also hit the rail. Scott 'AggroSantos' Margereson and Connor 'blanconegro' Drinian then took sixth and fifth place respectively followed by Conor '1_conor_b_1' Beresford in fourth place. The U.K.'s 'bk0705' just missed out on a place in the heads-up battle and exited in third place for $27,688, which left Leonard to get the better of 'huang33', who took away $36,011, leaving Leonard to win the $46,837 top prize. But Leonard wasn't done for the day and continued his form into the PokerStars Winter Series 29 - High: $530 NLHE, $500K Gtd event. This time around however there was a much bigger field for Leonard to compete against with 1,155 entrants creating a $577,500 prize pool. But the Brit navigated his way into the top three once more and found himself in a second heads-up battle of the day after America's Grayson 'gray31' Ramage hit the rail with a bronze medal for $47,060. But it turned out to be bittersweet for Leonard, who was unable to complete the double and exited as runner-up for $66,018, as '0409479' took the win for $92,614. Canada's #1 ranked player Connor 'blanconegro' Drinan banked over $129,000 for victory in the PokerStars Winter Series 28 - High: $2,100 NLHE [8-Max, Progressive KO, Sunday Warm-Up] event. Drinan battled through a 382 player-field and a heads-up battle with Russia's 'Futti18' to win $69,830 + $60,199 in bounties, with 'Futti18' taking home $52,597 + $38,480 in bounties for second place. The U.K.'s Stuart 'guitey' Guite recorded his biggest score to date after he won the PokerStars Winter Series 28 - Med: $215 NLHE [8-Max, Progressive KO, Sunday Warm-Up] following a three-way deal. The prize pool was set at $736,400 after 3,682 entrants took part, and when the field had been reduced to the final three, a money-deal was agreed to. Brazil's Vinícius 'vinimiranda7' Miranda then departed with the bronze medal for $38,444 + $11,395 in bounties, before Guite saw off the challenge from 'sorakasa' heads-up. The latter received $38,435 + $6,945 in bounties for their share of the deal, and Guite banked $40,114 + $28,652 in bounties along with the title. 'TheBlack_sheep' and 'Chelsea72' agreed to a heads-up deal in the partypoker $2,600 Super Sunday High Roller $150k Gtd. 'nipa3p3' exited in third place for $21,750 before the final two agreed to a deal. 'Chelsea72' then departed as runner-up for $39,084 and 'TheBlack_sheep' banked $42,665 as victor. 'Sentapied99' won the partypoker $1,050 Sunday HR Bounty Hunter for $17,357 + $23,903 in bounties following a heads-up battle with 'KERRMODE'. 'JonasLuck_' walked away with $9,060 + $2,535 in bounties after they finished third in the 151 player-field. 'KERRMODE' was then the final player to hit the rail and banked $12,457 + $5,362, which left 'Sentapied99' to take the spoils. Over on 888poker, there were wins for both 'MisterN411' and 'KimberSlice.' 'MisterN411' added $20,000 to their bankroll after they came through a 48 player-field in the $1,050 The $50,000 Whale. Ivan 'Hurrrrican3' Gabrieli took second place for $13,500, with 'kaycrusher' earning $7,500 in third. And in the 888poker $215 Sunday Mega Deep BONANZA, 'KimberSlice' defeated Rick 'WhosToClaim' Trigg heads-up to win $23,750. Trigg took away $17,000 in second place with 'MOI_est_JEAN' banking $13,125 in third. And in the $109 Sunday Phased Final, 'letsgoagain' topped the 1,013 player-field to win $18,189 after a heads-up victory over 'SuperMaza', who took away $13,028 for their efforts. The GGPoker GGS3 continued allowing their player pool to play some of the largest weekly online tournaments with buy-ins reaching $25,000 once again. 'Omar Bingo' was the biggest Sunday winner after they banked $344,893 for victory in the GGPoker GGS #157: $25,000 $500k Gtd. The prize pool hit $808,500 after 33 super high rollers went to battle, with 'StacknNvrSlackn' and Andras 'PokerBluff1' Nemeth cashing before 'Picasso16' sealed third place for $128,268. 'NOMAMES' was then unable to add yet another GGpoker title to their name, and departed as runner-up for $203,780. The second $25,000 buy-in of the day saw Nemeth cash for a second time, and they forged on to seal the gold medal for $226,237, following a money-deal with 'StacknNvrSlackn', who exited with $205,206. However, Nemeth narrowly missed out on a third Sunday title after taking second place in the GGPoker GGS #170: $10,000 $400k Gtd for $104,848, with 'chan593' picking up the win for $170,515.
