  1. [caption width="640"] 'eisenhower1' is one of five Swedes ranked in the top 10 on PocketFives (image: PokerNews)[/caption] The Swedes are back in town. Players from Sweden own five of the top 10 spots worldwide in the PocketFives Rankings this week after 'eisenhower1' moved up three spots to #8. He's a former #1 player and could make a serious run to reclaim his crown. 'eisenhower1' was ranked #1 as recently as January and finished second in the 888 Super XL Main Event in late May for $158,000, his second largest career cash ever. On June 7, he won the PokerStars $55 Six Max No Limit Hold'em Hyper-Turbo for $3,800 and 141 PLB Points. That win was his 164th career first place finish. 'eisenhower1' owns $8.5 million in online tournament winnings, the seventh most of anyone, and is the reigning Yearly PLB champion. He has a PLB score of 7,019 points, about 1,200 less than the rankings leader, fellow Swede 'C Darwin2'. Speaking of 'C Darwin2', he has been ranked #1 on PocketFives since June 8 and has 8,202 PLB Points. He continues to churn out wins and final tables to preserve his lead over the rest of the community, including victories in the partypoker Heavyweight $30,000 Guarantee Rebuy and Winamax High Roller this month for over $16,000 combined. 'C Darwin2' has $4.2 million in career online tournament winnings and is enjoying his fourth stint as the #1 ranked player on PocketFives. He has $2.5 million in career winnings on PokerStars alone. Other Swedes in the top 10 worldwide include 'lena900', who is #3 once again this week after holding the same spot last week; 'Pot4teUS', who is one spot behind 'lena900' at #4 in the world, his best ranking ever; and 'Ariados', who moved up one spot from #10 to #9. Another Swede, Johannes 'Greenstone25' Korsar, ticked up 11 spots to #25, his best ranking ever. Korsar, who is just a few thousand dollars shy of hitting $8 million for his career, has won the Winamax XTREME and 888 Turbo Mega Deep already this month for over $20,000 total and has eight top-10 finishes to his credit in June. He's the top-ranked online poker player in the Swedish capital of Stockholm. [caption width="640"] Bryan 'bparis' Paris moved back into the top 100 this week[/caption] Canada's Bryan 'bparis' Paris reentered the top 100 at #46, the best top-100 debut of anyone this week. Paris is fresh off winning his fourth PocketFives Triple Crown, the 20th largest ever recorded, and has won five MTTs in June, including the PokerStars Super Tuesday. As a result, Paris passed $9.3 million in career online winnings and is quickly closing in on $10 million. As it stands, he has the third highest career cash total of anybody. Also reentering the top 100 this week was Malta's Davide 'girex91' Marchi, who came in at #59. He has four wins in June along with final tables in the PokerStars Super Tuesday and Winamax High Roller. On Tuesday, Marchi won the PokerStars Hot $215 for his 71st career win. He's looking to pass his previous best ranking of #10 in the world, set last year. "It feels good," Marchi said. "I didn't grind for a long time, but now I am. I am going to get in the top 10 soon." Argentina's Cristian 'Progre69' Sampaoli also made waves this week, shooting up 22 spots to #67. He won the Hot $215 over the weekend for $15,000 and finished second in last week's Thursday Thrill for $32,000. He's the second-ranked player in Argentina and #1 in his hometown of Rosario. Sweden's 'fabregarp' entered the top 100 at #86 this week, his best showing ever. He won last week's PokerStars.fr Night on Stars for $5,200 and 160 PLB Points and then final tabled the site's Sunday High Roller over the weekend. 'fabregarp' is up to $1.8 million in career online MTT winnings and is the top-ranked player in the Swedish town of Norrtalje. Finally, Sweden's Erik 'Kihlstrom' Olofsson entered the top 100 at #92. This former Triple Crown winner has won two tournaments in June and finished in the money 15 times on June 12 alone to push his way up the leaderboard. Olofsson has $3.3 million in career winnings and reached an all-time high of #51 worldwide in the rankings earlier this year. All told, there are 16 Swedes in the top 100 worldwide, including eight in the top 30.
