Eric basebaldyBaldwin (pictured), a sponsored pro of UB.com, took down the PokerStars North American Poker Tour’s (NAPT) Los Angeles Bounty Shootout, pocketing $134,000 in the winner-take-all event. Baldwin finished 59th in this year’s World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event for $138,000 and landed in second place in the 2010 installment of the World Poker Tour (WPT) Championship for $1 million. Now, you can add an NAPT title to his list of poker accolades.

PocketFiver Kevin ImaLuckSacMacPhee (pictured), who won the European Poker Tour’s (EPT) Berlin Main Event earlier this year, was the first casualty of the NAPT LA Bounty Shootout final table. MacPhee went out on a bad beat, as his A-K could not withstand Clint Coffee‘s K-7 on his final hand. The dealer put a seven on the flop and no help came on the turn or river for MacPhee, who was ousted in ninth place.

Justin Youngrelegated Full Tilt Poker‘s Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi to the rail in eighth place before Pat TorontoToroPezzin (pictured) followed suit in seventh. Pezzin, a PokerStars pro, moved his chips in pre-flop with A-J and was in a race against Mohsin chicagocards1 Charania’s pocket sixes. The tension was short-lived, as Charania flopped a set and had Pezzin drawing dead to the river. Pezzin picked up $20,000 for making the NAPT LA Bounty Shootout final table and another $2,000 in bounties.

Coffee was bumped in sixth place after running pocket sevens into Young’s pocket tens. Then, former NAPT champion Tom Kingsofcards Marchese’s witching hour came after shoving all-in with Q-7 on a flop of K-7-4 with two hearts for middle pair. PokerStars pro David Williams called and tabled 9-3 of hearts for a flush draw. Marchese hit two pair on the turn when a queen fell, but a heart on the river ended his NAPT LA Bounty Shootout title hopes.

Charania (pictured) was the next player eliminated after running A-7 of hearts into Williams’ pocket tens. A ten on the flop virtually locked up the hand for Williams and Charania earned $20,000 for making the final table and another $5,000 in bounty money. Williams ultimately exited in third place after coming out on the short end of a race with A-Q against pocket tens. As a result, Young locked up the most number of bounties in the unique tournament and received entry into the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Bounty Shootout in January.

Young took better than a 3:1 chip lead into heads-up play against Baldwin, who quickly doubled up with pocket sevens against A-Q. On the final hand of the tournament, which was held at the Crystal Casino in Compton, Baldwin’s pocket kings held against Young’s A-Q for the win. Baldwin banked $134,000 for emerging as the champ, $20,000 for making the final table, and another $3,000 in bounty loot. Here’s how the final table shook out:

1. Eric basebaldyBaldwin – $134,280 + $20,000 + $3,000 in bounties
