Holy smokes. On Sunday, a thread popped up announcing the 20th PocketFives Triple Crownfor Chris moorman1Moorman (pictured). As it turned out, the British superstar had only completed two-thirds of the award, as a pair of tournaments that would have filled out the historic Triple Crown had fewer than 100 entrants. How did Moorman respond? He won the PartyPoker $200,000 Guaranteed for $27,000 and his 20th Triple Crown.

We can’t make this stuff up.

The first leg of Moorman’s latest Triple Crown came on January 28 in the PokerStars.fr Storm. His victory over a field of 620 entrants was worth $4,300. The same day, he won the Winamax High Roller for $8,900, but the tournament only having 74 players omitted it from contention for a Triple Crown.

Moorman proceeded to win another PokerStars.fr tournament before taking down the PokerStars $22 Cubedfor $6,200 on Saturday, besting a field of 655 players. His reward in that event was $6,200 and all he needed was one more win for his 20th Triple Crown. Also on Saturday, he won the Full Tilt Mount Rushmore for $6,400, but the tournament was one player short of 100. Therefore, the finale came on Sunday, as we said, in the PartyPoker $200,000 Guaranteed. The Sunday Major had over 1,000 entrants.

Moorman Tweeted when all was said and done, “Just finished my 18 hour grind today with a win in the Party Major to complete my 20th Triple Crown #winning.” Winning, indeed. He is approaching $11 million in tracked cashes on PocketFives and completely owns the online poker community in several key areas:

Chris Moorman: 20
Next Closest PocketFiver: 11

As if all that weren’t enough, Moorman is ranked #189 worldwide according to the Global Poker Index, #8 worldwide here on PocketFives, and #1 in the United Kingdom. He recently went on a cruise through the Bahamas in the lead-up to the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure to catch some rays after a long winter in the Northern Hemisphere.

Congrats to Moorman on his 20th PocketFives Triple Crown!
