It’s not easy to win one, single, solitary online poker Triple Crownon PocketFives. After all, a person needs to take down three $10,000 prize pool tournaments across three sites tracked for the PocketFives Poker Rankingsin the same seven-day period. Then, there’s Naza114 (pictured), who has now captured not one, not two, not three, but a ridiculous nine Triple Crowns, the third highest total all-time on PocketFives. Nine!

His most recent Triple Crown came earlier this month after wins on PokerStars, Full Tilt, and PartyPoker for a total of 505.55 PLB Points. When asked how he has been able to score so many awards, his answer was candid: “You win three tournaments that have more than 75 players, a total prize pool above $10,000, on three different networks in a week… nine times?” Oy. It’s going to be one of those interviews.

Naza114 explained that focusing on tournaments outside of PokerStars has been one key to his success: “I have a schedule that is well-balanced among a few networks so I can play the highest number of tournaments available. There is poker outside of PokerStars, you know? I’ve found my way to play on a few different websites and that is very good for my profitability. I don’t do anything special to get Triple Crowns. I follow my normal schedule, play the same tournaments, and try to close them out as best I can.”

His latest Triple Crown was amazingly his fourth of 2013, as he has notched one Triple Crown each month so far this year. The final leg of his latest title came in the PartyPoker $50,000 Guaranteed, which he took down for $11,000. We asked for a Scouting Report on the $215 tournament.

Naza114 broke down the Party $50K: “It’s just one of those really nice tournaments you have outside of PokerStars and Full Tilt. It has a really cool field and a decent structure. It was a pretty cool win. I paid close attention to it for the last four or five tables and always had a very good feel about each table. The field was pretty good and I managed to run well enough to take it down.”

His goal in poker is pretty bold: be the best poker player in the world. He is off to the races in that department too. Naza114 stands at #20 in the PocketFives Rankings and has lifetime tracked cashes of $3.3 million.

He remarked, “I feel like I have a chance to get there in the near future. I have been playing against top tournament competition, both online and live, and feel pretty good about my chances. I feel pretty good when I compare my work ethic to theirs. I believe I can outwork anybody. We all have talent, some more so than others, and I think I’m blessed with talent too, but it’s what you do with the talent and tools you have that will make the difference. I will be the best tournament player in the near future.” You heard it here first.

We then asked Naza114 for the top piece of poker advice he has received over the years. After all, if we’re going to challenge him as the top poker player around, we need a helpful hint or two as well.

“My sister just found out that a flush beats a straight a few months ago,” Naza114 noted. “The best advice I ever received was when she told me I should stop playing. She called me one day and asked if I was letting this poker thing get to me. The night before, I had been playing and cursing a bit and she asked me about it. That led me to take care of all of my tilting issues. Today, I very rarely have any kind of tilt or get affected by poker results. I’m able to take my emotions out of every decision, and we all agree that emotions and rationality don’t work together.”
