Nevada Weekday Tournament Review for December 27, 2013
Christmas week poker was alive and well in Nevada, with the most activity being on Christmas Day itself. This week, Ultimate Pokerheld four tournaments with first place payouts approaching $1,000 or more, the $2,500 Nightly events. There were 124 runners generating a prize pool of $11,506 and paying a total of 18 spots. The highest individual cash this week went to Baystateguyfor $1,437.79.
Other players that cashed in two events included itsprudence(two third place finishes totaling $989), ramblonrosefor $741, and the solution (first and second place cashes for $2,135).
WSOP.comran its four $3,000 events as scheduled, with two of them having overlays totaling $500. The rest of their events exceeded the guarantees. There were 202 runners with a total prize pool of 12,300 and the players with the highest individual cashes this week ended up in a tie, with DARKSHARKand Starmadilloeach winning $960.
Only two players had multiple cashes on WSOP.com: MrBeaumontfor $271 and XTroublefor $509.
