Nevada Weekend Tournament Review for December 23, 2013
This weekend saw Ultimate Poker run five events with first place payouts approaching $1,000 or more. There were 174 runners fighting for the 28 prizes available, totaling $22,828. The player with the highest individual cash was m1a1tank19k in the Sunday $10,000 for $2,900. That event had an overlay of $2,083, as the guarantee was not met.
Players this weekend having cashed in more than one event included jg.allIn, who cashed in two $2,500 events for $1,136, and Riptide, who had two second place finishes in $2,500 events for $1,705.
WSOP.com kicked off its weekend with five events with first place payouts approaching $1,000 or more, including the inaugural Mini Fest #37 Main Event with a guarantee of $25,000. WSOP.com was definitely playing Santa this weekend, as the Mini Fest Main Event had a massive overlay of $15,525.
WSOP.com had 690 runners vying for the 85 available prizes totaling $49,875. The player with the highest individual cash this weekend on WSOP.com was SgtGutter in the Mini Fest #37 Main Event for $6,125.
Players who scored cashes in multiple events included BeTheLight (cashed in three separate events for $440), devonx702 (two cashes for $440), RWinn (two second place finishes in $3,000 events for $1,267), and PocketFives member suicidequ33n (cashed in two events for $422). Seen cashing for the first time last week was wantgumgum, who took first place, second place, and fourth place finishes in the $3,000 events this weekend for a total payday of $1,985
