Nevada Weekend Tournament Review for April 14, 2014

In Nevada, WSOP.com kicked off its weekend with seven major events. WSOP.com had 401 runners vying for the 52 available prizes totaling $47,750. Three of the events had overlays totaling $3,950. One of the major events had a $215 buy-in with the top prize of an entry to the 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event worth $10,000.

The player with the highest individual prize this weekend on WSOP.com was Don_Key in the WSOP Main Event Qualifier, winning a $10,000 seat to the 2014 Main Event. This is Don_Key’s first final table in the majors and makes for a great start to the upcoming series at the Rio. The player with the highest cash prize this week was ucheckicheck for $5,301 in the Sunday $15000 Guarantee.

Keep an eye on RWinn on WSOP.com, who seems to own wins in many of the lower payout events on the site. Also, keep your eyes peeled for VPIHokie1970, MrBeaumont, and respeckt. These players are putting in a lot of volume and getting great results.

This weekend saw Ultimate Poker run four major events. There were 192 runners fighting for the 27 prize spots available totaling $21,759. The player with the highest individual cash was GrnSmoothie in the Sunday $10,000 for $2,900. That event had an overlay of $2,900, as the guarantee was not met.

When looking at volume and successes, you have to give a hand to USCphildo, luckisreal, and Rick2007. These players are either approaching or have exceeded winnings of $20,000 in the first 15 weeks of 2014.
