PocketFives Rankings: Swedes Claim 4 of the Top 6 Spots

Sweden’s C Darwin2continues to climb the PocketFives Online Poker Rankings. This week, he moved up from #9 to #5, three spots shy of his highest ranking ever. Much of his gain came after winning the PokerStars Hotter $162 over the weekend, a score that netted him over 300 PLB Points, the metric used to determine the Rankings.

Speaking of PLB Points, Sweden’s eisenhower1 has 7,847 of them, good for the #1 spot once again this week. eisenhower1 has been ranked #1 since September 30 and has almost a 400-point lead on second place. He has almost $8 million in career online tournament winnings, although he has only recorded 10 in the money finishes this month.

Swedes own four of the top six spots in the Rankings. In addition to C Darwin2 and eisenhower1, lena900 is in third place. This Swede won the PokerStars $215 NLHE Turbo Re-Entry on December 2 for $5,300 and is up to $3.6 million in career online tournament winnings.

Rounding out the Swedish contingent in the top six is AnteSvante (pictured at top), who was ranked as high as #2 earlier this year and just hit $6 million in cashes. AnteSvante won the PokerStars $55 Rebuy over the weekend, his 137th tracked win to date.

Mexico’s TheDegenFund reentered the top 100 this week at #62, 10 spots off his all-time high. TheDegenFund posted wins in the PokerStars.fr Sunday Supersonic and iPoker Sunday Warm-Up over the weekend for almost $9,000 total and final tabled the Sunday Second Chance and Hotter $162 to boot.

Finally this week, we wanted to talk about longtime PocketFiver cswidler (pictured), who calls Canada home and moved up 20 spots this week to #79. This former top-ten-ranked player won four tournaments between December 10 and 13, including the Bigger $162 for $17,000. He has $4.3 million in career winnings and is the #8 player in Canada.
