On Wednesday, Cal cal42688Anderson (pictured) reclaimed the top spot in the PocketFives Rankings, moving from #2 to #1 and swapping places with Chris moorman1 Moorman. Anderson was last ranked #1 on October 23 and is enjoying his eighth stint as the top ranked player in the world.

Anderson was ranked #1 for a 22-week stretch that ended exactly nine months ago. It was the longest run in the top spot by any player since a 45-week domination by M8kingmovesfrom mid-2007 to mid-2008. Anderson recorded cashes in 47 tracked tournaments last month, generating $38,000 in the process. On the third-to-last day of September, he won the PartyPoker $30,000 Guaranteed Sunday for $6,100.

Anderson has 7,795 PLB Points, 78 more than Moorman, who can now be found at #2 after a one-week reign at #1. Trailing Moorman by about 100 PLB Points is Sweden’s Sheater, who moved up two spots on the week to #3 worldwide. Sheater won last weekend’s Full Tilt Sunday Brawl for $52,000 and 512 PLB Points; he has seven tracked online MTT cashes of at least $20,000 this year.

Sitting at his highest ranking ever is VnilaVader(pictured), whose real name is Anton Herrmann. He can be found at #9 worldwide, up from #17, and is one of two Swedes in the top nine. Herrmann is just a couple of days removed from winning the PokerStarsSunday Warm-Up for a colossal $101,000 officially and 803 PLB Points. He also took down a Winamax W Series tournament earlier this year and put away $49,000.

asjbaaaf moved up 10 spots to #25 worldwide this week. He is one day removed from a victory in the PokerStars $100 Rebuy for $12,000 and 244 PLB Points. He took down another running of the same tournament four days ago for the same $12,000 and 241 PLB Points. asjbaaaf is at his highest ranking ever.

Chris Gettin Daize Oliver (pictured), a longtime member of the PocketFives community and former #1 ranked player, settled at #36 this week, up 22 spots. His only stint at #1 came during a two-week stretch in December 2010. Now, he is making a run at the top on the strength of an $11,000 PokerStars Hot $75 victory on November 2 and four tracked wins since October 24.

Finally, England’s Jon EMSBas Spinks reentered the top 100 at #72 worldwide. He won the PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up outright last weekend for over $100,000 and earned 857 PLB Points for an afternoon’s worth of work. His all-time high in the Rankings is #22, which he achieved two years ago.
