Last week, we wrote about a four-way battlebrewing for the top spot in the PocketFives Online Poker Rankings. This week, we have a new name at #1, Vinkyy (pictured), who has 7,888 PLB Points, about 50 more than the second place player. It’s conceivable, therefore, that we might have a new top dog next week as well.

Over the weekend, Vinkyy was the runner-up in the Full Tilt Poker $250,000 Guaranteed and made $43,000. The 352 PLB Points earned from that event helped pushed him over the edge, propelling him to his first #1 ranking ever. He is quickly approaching $5 million in tracked online poker earnings and has been a card-carrying member of PocketFives for the last two years.

Cal cal42688Anderson, the top ranked player since October 2, now sits in third on the leaderboard with 7,823 PLB Points. The Mexico poker community member is searching for his first tracked win and five-figure cash of October, but took first in the Full Tilt $1K Saturday in late September for $42,000. Anderson is the top ranked player in Mexico and has $4.7 million in tracked winnings.

We had two huge jumps into the top 10 this week. The first came from Sweden’s Sheater, who moved from #31 worldwide to #6. Sheater won the PokerStars.fr Sunday Special over the weekend for $33,000 and took down the Full Tilt $1K Saturday for another $21,000. He has six tracked online MTT wins since October 15 for over 1,400 PLB Points combined.

Up from #32 worldwide to #7 was Austria’s mindgamer(pictured), who finished second in the PokerStars Sunday Million last weekend for $164,000 officially, good for 806 PLB Points. The Sunday Million was the third six-figure score we have tracked for mindgamer, who final tabled a TCOOP tournament earlier this year for nearly $300,000.

Rocketing to his highest position ever in the Rankings at #16 worldwide is Brazil’s Douglas Ferreira Souza, known on PocketFives as dowghsantos. Like the others we’ve talked about, he had a profitable weekend, final tabling the PokerStars Sunday $100 Rebuy for $32,000 and winning the Full Tilt Super Sized Sunday for $28,000. On Tuesday, Souza won a $215 No Limit Hold’em Turbo on PokerStars for $12,000.

After entering his screen names earlier this week, Sweden’s lena900entered the Rankings this week at #57. His largest tracked cash to date came two years ago in an FTOPS event for $86,000. Around the same time, he took down the PartyPoker $250,000 Guaranteed for $50,000. He is the eighth ranked player in Sweden and has a Sliding PLB score of just over 6,000.

Here are the top 10 players in the Rankings this week along with the PLB score for each:
