Fabrizio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez has been #1 in the world for seven straight weeks

There was very little movement in the top 10 of the PocketFives Rankings with Fabrizio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez maintaining his hold on #1 for the seventh straight week. But Gonzalez didn’t do it by sitting idly by, he went out and did what he could to hang on to top spot.

Gonzalez recorded just seven cashes, but found a runner-up finish in the PokerStars Super Tuesday for $50,523 and 404.55 PLB points. That’s the second biggest PLB point score of his career, behind only his runner-up finish in the 2016 PokerStars WCOOP Pot Limit Omaha High Roller event, which earned him 910.96 points.

There was no change in the two players directly behind Gonzalez either. Alex ‘alexd2’ Dimitrov had just one cash big enough to add to his total. Dimitrov cashed 33 times but a win in the PokerStars $215 Bounty Builder added $16,082 to his bankroll and 314.48 points. He’s now been #2 for four consecutive weeks and remains the #1-ranked player in Bulgaria.

Sitting in third is Brazilian Joao Mathias ‘joaomathias’ Baumgarten. The former #1-ranked player had three qualifying cashes this past week. His first came on November 15 when he won the partypoker Heavyweight Super Knockout event for $2,137/124.9. That same day he finished runner-up in the partypoker Six Max Turbo High Roller for $7,088/117.09. He rounded out the week with a tenth place finish in the PokerStars $700 Super-Sized Progressive KO for $2,481/113.86.

The first change in the top ten came from Sweden’s ‘lena900‘ who leapfrogged Andras ‘probirs’ Nemeth to move up one spot to fourth. ‘lena900’ moved up without recording a qualifying cash. That’s because some of Nemeth’s previous qualifying cashes were reduced in value. Nemeth, who jumped back into the rankings last week, may have taken the entire week off. The Hungarian poker pro recorded zero cashes – all one week after he managed three big cashes.

The biggest drop in the top ten came from Andreas ‘r4ndomr4gs’ Berggren. The Swede feel from #7 to #9 as Patrick ‘pleno1’ Leonard and Johannes ‘Greenstone25’ Korsar moved up one spot each to #7 and #8 respectively.

Canadian Joel ‘jbrown8777’ Brown held on to the #10 spot.
