As the temperature around the US starts to warm up, so does the tournament action. Welcome to the PocketFives Live Tournament Preview presented by TourneyTracks.com. Let’s take a look and see what’s on deck.

East

Borgata in Atlantic City, New Jersey (pictured) is hosting a $250,000 guaranteed tournament with a $1,090 buy-in from February 8 to February 11. There will be two Day 1 flights and a couple of $250 qualifiers available.

The Card Player Poker Tour stops at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, Connecticut from February 8 to February 17. The series will offer 11 events with buy-ins from $250 to $1,650 in a variety of formats including HOSE and Omaha 8 or Better.

Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Ontario is hosting the World Poker Tour Fallsview Poker Classic from February 18 to February 24. The series will consist of three No Limit Hold’em events with buy-ins of $1,100 CAD, $2,500 CAD, and $5,000 CAD.

Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in Grantville, Pennsylvania is hosting a Hollywood Poker Open regional event from February 20 to March 2. The series boasts 31 events with buy-ins from $125 to $1,800. There will also be several satellites and WSOP champion Chris Moneymaker should be playing.

West

The World Poker Tour continues its stop at Commerce Casino near Los Angeles, California (pictured) for the WPT LA Poker Classic through March 6. The series boats 60 events in a variety of formats and the $10,000 Main Event will be televised. This is always a huge series and a must for serious West Coast competitors.

The Heartland Poker Tour makes three stops in the West in February. First, the HPT stops at Club One Casino in Fresno, California through February 10. There will be several satellites as well as five tournaments prior to the $1,650 televised Main Event.

Then, the HPT travels to Black Hawk, Colorado for an event at Golden Gates Casino from February 7 to February 17. There will be a few small buy-in tournaments available in addition to the standard satellites and the $1,650 televised Main Event. The HPT goes back to California for a series at Aqua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage from February 27 to March 10.

Las Vegas also has a few events, including the Wynn Classic, which returns to the Wynn from February 27 to March 17. The series will consist of 14 events with buy-ins from $300 to $5,200.

Central

February will hopefully bring some warmer temperatures as well as a few tournaments to the Central US. The Mid-States Poker Tour kicks off its 2014 season with a stop at Running Aces Harness Park in Columbus, Minnesota (pictured) from February 8 to February 16. There will be a $200,000 guarantee for the $1,100 Main Event, but it should generate an even larger prize pool.

There are a couple of events in Oklahoma. First, WinStar Casino in Thackerville is hosting the Presidents Day Mini River Series from February 7 to February 17. There will be seven events with buy-ins from $170 to $1,000.

Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa hosts the Oklahoma State Championship of Poker from February 20 to March 2. The series offers 14 events in a variety of formats with buy-ins from $100 to $1,090.

South

The World Poker Tour returns to Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek, Florida for the WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open through February 11. The series will have 14 events with buy-ins from $150 to $3,500. The $3,500 Main Event has a $1 million guarantee and will be televised.

The WSOP Circuit will stop at Palm Beach Kennel Club in West Palm Beach, Florida (pictured) from February 6 to February 17. There will be the standard 12 ring events with buy-ins from $365 to $1,675 as well as a few non-ring events.

Hollywood Casino in Tunica, Mississippi is hosting a Hollywood Poker Open regional event from February 7 to February 16. The series will consist of 20 events with buy-ins from $125 to $1,800.

The Mid-States Poker Tour stops at Bell of Baton Rouge in Louisiana from February 15 to February 23. There will be several satellites available prior to the $1,100 Main Event.

Finally, the Heartland Poker Tour stops at River City Casino in St. Louis, Missouri from February 20 to March 3. There will be seven events in addition to the $1,650 televised Main Event.
