Tournament action has slowed down around the holidays, but there are still a few series to be found. Welcome to the PocketFives Live Tournament Preview presented by TourneyTracks.com. Let’s take a look and see what’s on deck.

East

There is still time to play in the World Poker Tour’s $3,850 CAD Main Event at the Playground Poker Club near Montreal. There are even a few side events running through December 6.

The World Series of Poker Circuit stops at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey (pictured) from November 29 to December 9. As usual, there will be the standard 12 ring events with buy-ins ranging from $365 to $1,675. In addition, there will be several non-ring events including a $1,100 satellite to the 2014 WSOP Main Event.

Harrah’s in Cherokee, North Carolina is hosting the Harrah’s Cherokee Poker Classic from December 5 to December 15. There will be 10 events with buy-ins from $250 to $1,125. There are also several smaller events available that aren’t officially part of the schedule.

The Foxwoods Mega Stack Challenge returns from December 7 to December 15. The Connecticut casino will offer nine events with buy-ins ranging from $230 to $1,200. There are also daily tournaments available.

West

The World Poker Tour returns to the Bellagio (pictured), the place that started it all, from November 29 to December 11. The Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic features 11 events with buy-ins from $1,080 to $100,000. The $10,300 main event will be televised.

The WSOP Circuit stops at Harrah’s Rincon near San Diego, California from December 5 to December 16. There will be the standard 12 ring events with buy-ins ranging from $365 to $1,675. In addition, there will be a few non-ring events.

The Venetian in Las Vegas, Nevada is hosting a New Year’s Extravaganza from December 27 to January 5. There will be 17 events with buy-ins from $150 to $300.

Central

The Heartland Poker Tour stops at Majestic Star Casino in Gary, Indiana (pictured) through December 9. There are eight small buy-in tournaments in addition to a $1,650 televised main event.

The Mid-States Poker Tour stops at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota from November 30 to December 8. This is typically one of the largest fields for the MSPT and could draw close to 400 entrants for the $1,100 event.

The Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa is hosting the Horseshoe Holiday Classic from December 26 to December 30. There will be six events with buy-ins from $125 to $775.

South

The World Poker Tour stops at IP Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi for the WPT IP Fall Classic from November 29 to December 8. This WPT regional series features 21 events with buy-ins from $120 to $1,150.

The WPT then stops at the Seminole Hard Rock in Tampa, Florida (pictured) for another regional series from December 6 to December 15. The WPT Winter Tampa Bay Open will offer 11 events with buy-ins from $145 to $1,650.

The Card Player Poker Tour stops at Palm Beach Kennel Club from December 5 to December 16. There will be nine events with buy-ins from $30 to $1,120.

Lastly, the Fun in the Sun Poker Series is back at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida. The series will have seven events with buy-ins from $100 to $560, custom-sized for all you low-rollers out there.
