February was a monster month for Chris moorman1Moorman (pictured, right), the most acclaimed PocketFiver in history. Moorman recorded a lofty 203 cashes in online MTTs for nearly $300,000 total during the stanza, an average of about $1,400 each. As a result, Moorman blew away the competition in the February Monthly PLB race, winning by over 800 points, one of the largest margins of victory we can recall. He is the first PocketFiver ever to reach four Monthly PLB titles.

Highlights of the month for the Brit included a $35,000 hit for finishing fifth in the PokerStarsSuper Tuesday, a score that earned him 308 PLB Points. He won the PartyPoker $200,000 Guaranteed on the first Sunday of the month for $27,000 and 447 PLB Points. His third largest score of the month came in the PokerStars $109 No Limit Hold’em Turbo, an MTT he won on February 9 for $18,000 and 324 PLB Points.

Additionally, Moorman final tabled the Full Tilt Poker $1K Saturday twice during February; in fact, the pair of top-three finishes occurred one week apart. On February 22, Moorman took second in the $1K Saturday for $17,000 and 199 PLB Points. That came one week after finishing third in the tournament for $16,000 and 184 PLB Points.

Now you can see why Moorman bested the field by 800 points last month en route to his fourth Monthly PLB title. His 3,510 PLB Points during February, a month only 28 days long, are the most by a Monthly PLB winner since last September. The 447 PLB Points that he earned for his largest cash during the month are the fewest by a monthly PLB winner since last July. Again, it’s all about volume.

With four Monthly PLB badges, Moorman broke a three-way tie with Gettin Daizeand Jymaster0011, each of whom has three. He told PocketFives in an exclusive statement, “It’s great to be the first person to win four Monthly PLBs. Winning the Monthly PLB is a very satisfying achievement because it shows strong consistency throughout the month of grinding.”

Moorman added, “I really felt in the zone last month. I was playing a lot and my end game was working out really well. At the start of the month, TheClaimeer and I were neck-and-neck at the top and it inspired me to put more hours in after TCOOP than I might have normally done.” TheClaimeer ultimately finished fifth in February, 900 points behind Moorman.

Moorman had the second largest number of in the money finishes during the month at 203. Here were the top five players in terms of the number of cashes in February:

supreamdream – 292
moorman1 – 203
rounder63 – 197
kenn121 – 189
Zackattak13 – 163
