Who Are the Top Online Poker Players from Germany?
When you think of online poker powerhouses, Germanyshould come to mind. There are 1,339 registered PocketFives members from the European country, which has scored 10 Triple Crowns. Germany is holding strong at #8 worldwide in our PocketFives Country Poker Rankings with a combined PLB score of its top 20 players of 85,751 points. We’ve written about several members of the Germany poker community in recent months, so we thought it would be worthwhile to take a look at its top 10 players:
10. Excellence – This poker player from Recklinghausen, Nordrhein-Westfalen is ranked #334 worldwide and has over $1.5 million in tracked scores. He won the PokerStars $109 Rebuy in late January for $12,000.
9. moertelmu – Hailing from Greifswald, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, moertelmu has over $1.2 million in tracked scores, including a second place finish in the PokerStars.fr Sunday High Roller in February for $11,000.
8. Lissi1234 – The top ranked player in Berlin, Lissi1234 final tabled the PokerStars Sunday Supersonic in late February and banked $37,000.
7. ArmyOfLuck – Calling Weiden, Bayern home, ArmyOfLuck plays as iPUNI$H on PokerStars, where he won the site’s $30,000 Guaranteed in late February for $12,000.
6. overthetop43 – The second ranked player in Baden-Württemberg, he is nearing $900,000 in tracked scores and can be found at #194 worldwide in the Rankings.
5. paeffchen – Owning over $1.7 million in tracked online poker scores, paeffchen is just 10 days removed from a win in the PokerStars Hotter $33 for $12,000. He also took down the site’s Hotter $44 last month for $9,100.
4. nilsef – He calls Schleswig-Holstein home and can be found on PokerStars.fr under the user name Pr0llhead. He won a Triple Crown earlier this year after victories on PokerStars.fr, Full Tilt, and PokerStars for 415.42 PLB Points.
3. LeChiffre19 – Giuseppe Pantaleo (pictured) was once ranked as high as #8 on PocketFives and now sits at #65. He has over $3 million in tracked cashes, the most of any player in Germany.
2. RedIceRap – Better known as Alex Gerlach, RedIceRap is a PocketFives Mod extraordinaire who is one month removed from nabbing his first Triple Crown with wins on PartyPoker, PokerStars.fr, and PokerStars for 662.33 PLB Points.
1. Fresh_Oo_D – The seventh ranked player worldwide, Fresh_Oo_D calls Steinfurt, Nordrhein-Westfalen home and won last weekend’s PokerStars Sunday $100 Rebuy for $58,000 officially.
