On Monday, the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Eventwill wrap up from the Bahamas. The final group of eight is absolutely stacked with talent and includes Mike timex McDonald (pictured), who is poised to become the first ever two-time EPT Main Event champion.

McDonald has the second largest stack entering Monday’s finale at 5.6 million, trailing only Madis muruntau Muur’s stack of 6.2 million. PokerNews explained about McDonald’s big opportunity, “While this feat has never been accomplished before, McDonald has come close in the past. During EPT Season 5, he scored a fifth place finish in the Dortmund Main Event for €197,000 and followed that up in Season 6 with a third place in Deauville, which netted him €295,000.”

McDonald won the EPT German Open in Dortmund six years ago for $1.3 million. In September 2011, he took down the second Epic Poker League Main Event for $782,000. Incredibly, he piled up four six-figure cashes in 2013 and finished 65th on the 2013 live money list, according to the Hendon Mob. He is sixth on Canada’s all-time money list and eighth on the all-time money list for events in Europe.

Other players at the 2014 PCA Main Event final table include Pascal Pass_72LeFrancois, a 2010 WSOP bracelet winner who finished 11th in the Las Vegas series’ Main Event the same year. Longtime PocketFiver Shyam s_dot111 Srinivasan, who is ranked #25 on PocketFives, is the low man on the totem pole entering the final eight with 1.5 million in chips. He has the second highest cash total of any PocketFiver at $7 million.

Isaac mr. menlo Baron (pictured) has 2.9 million in chips in the Bahamas. He told the PokerStars team, “It’s been a while since I made a big final table. I’ve kind of been flying under the radar. I haven’t been playing too many tournaments. I had decided to give tournaments a break for a little while, but I decided in the New Year I was going to give them another go. It’s going good so far.” He finished fourth in the EPT Monte Carlo Grand Final Main Event for nearly $1 million in 2008.
