Monthly PLB Champion: July '10. PocketFives Triple Crown winner. Paul Volpe caught fire in late 2009, taking down the Full Tilt Poker MiniFTOPS Event #7 for $57,500 and placing 2nd in the PokerStars Wednesday Quarter Million for another $35,100. His largest online tournament cash came courtesy of a January '11 outright victory in the PokerStars Sunday Million for $253,900.
Paul also won the PokerStars Wednesday Quarter Million for $51,400 in July '10 and had a deep run in the WCOOP $10,000+300 NLHE High Roller event for another $46,950. In February '11, Paul placed 4th in the FTOPS XIX Event #19 ($10,000+300 NLHE Heads-Up Shootout) for $108,800.
Volpe drove deep in the 2012 WSOP Main Event, finishing in 20th place for $294,000 in a tournament ultimately won by Greg Merson. The same year, he final tabled a SCOOP $2,100 Heads-Up PLO tournament and a $2,100 HORSE event for over $70,000 total.
Volpe made back-to-back final tables in the WPT LA Poker Classic and Bay 101 Shooting Star in early 2013. He finished second in the former for over $650,000.
