Nicolas Fierro of Chile surged in May '09 thanks to his consistent results in online poker tournaments, which included a 3rd place showing in the Full Tilt Poker $1k Monday for $44,600. He also took down the PokerStars $100 rebuy and $100 turbo tournaments in that month for $29k and $24k. His high stakes breakout month came in April '10, when he took 2nd place in the FTOPS Event #22 ($1,000+60 NLHE) for $181,000 and earned a victory in the PokerStars $1k Super Tuesday for $76,600. He also had a 3rd place showing in the PartyPoker Monthly Million for $69,000 in April '10.

    Fierro took down the Ongame Network's ChampionChip on the final Sunday of 2011 for $29,000 after beating out a field of nearly 900 players.

    In January 2012, Nicholas took 5th in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure High Roller Event for over $217,000. Five months later, he final tabled the PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up for $24,000. In May 2013, he final tabled the PartyPoker High Roller and added another $16,000 to his bankroll. The following month, Fierro exited in third place from the 888 Whale and cashed for $24,000.
