‘CloverSparklesFartShovels’ keeps the top spot of the Nevada online poker rankings for the third consecutive month

For the third consecutive month, ‘CloveSparklesFartShovels’ sits atop the PocketFives Nevada Online Poker Rankings, but it was Bobby ‘bcm4924’ McLawhorn that made the most noise in March.

McLawhorn jumped five spots all the way up to the runner-up spot for March. He had a monsterous third month of the year, earning 61 cashes and winning 13 tournaments. It was the second month in a row that he had at least 60 cashes. He started out the month on the right foot by winning three tournaments in one day.

On March 4, McLawhorn took down the $850 guaranteed $10 at 10, the $1,250 guaranteed deep stack no limit hold’em with rebuys and add-ons, and the $3,000 guaranteed nightly no limit hold’em with rebuys and add-ons. He also finished 10[SUP]th[/SUP] in the $700 guaranteed no limit hold’em freezeout event on the same day. All in all, he earned over $3,000 in one day and set the tone for the rest of the month.

His biggest cash of the month came when he won the $5,000 guaranteed Weekend Warm-Up on WSOP.com for $2,357.

Other than McLawhorn, there wasn’t much movement in the leaderboard. ‘CloverSparklesFartShovels’ continued his dominance in the Silver State with another solid month. His biggest cash came from a runner-up finish in the $30,000 guaranteed The Big Deal on WSOP.com, which was worth $6,510.

With McLawhorn’s unbelievable month, for the first time in several months, ‘CloverSparklesFartShovels’ felt someone right on his heels of taking over the top spot. McLawhorn came within 70 points of the number one spot, whereas last month, Ian ‘APokerJoker2’ Steinman was 139 points behind the top spot.

Despite putting up a better month and having 11 more points in March than February, Steinman dropped from third to second. Jed ‘JCHAK’ Hoffman also dropped from third to fourth, and Mark ‘wsopfreezer’ Johns jumped a spot from sixth to fifth to round out the top five players.

Hoffman took some time away from the online tables and had some live success in his hometown of Reno. He finished fifth in the WPTDeepStacks main event at the Atlantis for $12,675. It was his second live cash of the year along with a cash in February at the Venetian’s DeepStack Extravaganza in Las Vegas.

‘Power’ dropped out of the top five and finished March in sixth, but most of the back half of the top 10 made positive strides in the leaderboard. ‘DatDude’ returned to the top 10 in February and jumped three spots to finish in seventh. Thomas ‘respeckt’ Wheeler also moved forward, jumping from ninth to eighth.

‘DatDude’ cashed 31 times in March to make the three-spot jump. Daniel ‘voff’ Deveau switched spots with Wheeler and slipped to ninth, while James ‘VintageATL’ Piccolo made a return to the top 10. After dropping out in February, he rounded out the top 10 in March, finishing in 10[SUP]th[/SUP].
